✈️ TechOLOPy TAKES SYDNEY 💻

A couple of weeks ago, TechOLOPy went on their excursion to Sydney to attend the EduTech conference. Learning about all things tech, new technology for education, initiatives for cyber safety and various technology companies and opportunities.

Last week at OLOP, we enjoyed a range of exciting events, including Literacy Day and the Divisional Cross Country ✨

For Literacy Day, students were immersed in a fun-filled day celebrating literacy through a variety of engaging activities, including reading, writing and literacy-based crafts. It was wonderful to welcome parents into the classrooms to share in the learning and experience the students’ enthusiasm firsthand.

Congratulations to our seven students who represented OLOP at the Divisional Cross Country held at Yarra Glen Racecourse. We are incredibly proud of their effort, determination and sportsmanship.

OLOP’S LITTLE LEGENDS 🐛🍇 🍓

This morning, at the OLOP’s Little Legends session, we read the story, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. Then, we created fruit caterpillars out of grapes, strawberries and chocolate buttons! Yummy and delicious!

Today our staff gathered at Heidelberg Golf Club to listen to speak to us about the role of prayer and reflection in our everyday lives.

We learnt about the importance of slowing down and being still. We look forward to implementing some of our learning into our classrooms!

Last term, the Grade 3 students experimented with air drying clay to create some yummy doughnuts!

Well done Grade 3 on your beautiful creations. 🍩 😋

WALK FOR WATER CELEBRATION 💦 🪣

Congratulations to OLOP for raising over $2300 for Caritas. With this money, we are supporting communities in need of fresh water.

Well done to J4 and M5 for walking the most laps and M1 for raising the most money.

TERM ONE, WEEK FIVE 📚✏️

What an exciting week it’s been!

We proudly launched OLOP’s 2026 playgroup, ‘Little Legends’. Together, we read The Concrete Garden by Bob Graham, then took our creativity outdoors to design our very own “concrete gardens” using chalk.

We also welcomed some adorable visitors to the Foundation area and rolled up our sleeves for hands-on, messy fun in STEM.

So much learning and creativity packed into one awesome week!
