Yesterday, our Grade 5/6 students visited the Immigration Museum in Melbourne as part of their learning about migration, identity and Australia’s diverse cultural history.

Students explored fascinating stories and exhibits, gaining a deeper understanding of the experiences of people who have migrated to Australia. 🌏💙

🌏🇫🇷 Building Languages Leaders 🇫🇷🌏

On Friday, Languages Teachers Victoria came to our school to run a 2 hour incursion called Building Languages Leaders. Donnybrook Primary School was selected to participate in this event funded by the Victorian government's Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series.

Selected Year 5 students were trained as Languages Leaders. They then applied this training and supported some Year 1 and 2 students to participate in games using French together. We were very fortunate to have this opportunity and are looking forward to developing other activities that our newly trained senior students will lead to enrich the French language program in our school and celebrate the many home languages of our community.
