At Donald High School we place a strong emphasis on our core values – Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Learning. Our Year 8 Scientists completed their very first dissection this week. As part of their Living Systems unit they dissected a Sheep's heart this week. This also links in with what they have been studying in PE recently. Thank you Donald Family Butchers for supplying the hearts.

*Please note the photos have dissected sheep's hearts - so keep scrolling if that's something you don't want to see

Thank you to our ES Staff - the school couldn't function without you.

We have a few camera shy ES. To our Office Administrators you are the nucleus of the school the control centre. To our Lab Tech no experimental investigation would occur without your diligent work. To our Librarian, what a beautiful safe and inviting space you have created. To our Classroom ES - we cannot thank you enough for the support you give to both students and staff.

WE APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU!

Year 12 Biologists headed to Federation University Mt Helen Campus for Immunology Workshops, they also heard from Professor Stuart who gave a snapshot of how our immune systems work. Unit 4 Biology is all about the Immune System. It was such an amazing opportunity for the students to conduct experiments that we just don't have the equipment or materials for here. Oh and we just have to mention the amazing yummy giant donuts and decadent mini choc muffins for morning tea 😁

A more detailed article will appear in our fortnightly newsletter.
