Another amazing day on the river, but this time with a sled. Our emerging leaders ventured into the river on a sled and had a field day!!!!!

Recharge Day at Healesville Sanctuary, our emerging leaders learnt about the difference between a Monotreme and a mammal! They witnessed Buzzards breaking eggs and other raptors flying both high and low!!!

Yesterday all of Core 1 participated in a class
about OzHarvest, we learnt about the impact
food waste has on our environment. We were split
up in groups of three to work together to make
meals for those in need .

The Leadbeaters braved the 4:00am start to reach South Jawbone peak for ‘sunrise’ on Taungurung country. What a way to start our day on Expo 2! ⛰️

Originating from Hong Kong and being made at Don Valley today for afternoon tea. Fresh mango sago rice pudding was created from a recipe originating from an amazing mother, with a meal learnt from home, it was shared today. Another way we help create identity and connectedness within our school.

Core 1 Explored the Birrarung (Yarra River). With recent rain the river provided a beautiful place to explore and refine their paddling skills.

This afternoon was a little bit different. Don Valley Primary School had their afternoon working bee. Our emerging leaders took this opportunity to 'walk the walk' and 'talk the talk.' They helped clean up the school and reinvogorate the farming area. A bbq dinner with some home made cake topped it off. A genuine highlight was seeing our leaders play GaGa Ball against the Primary school students!!!!
