Student Wellbeing and Engagement Survey – this week.

The time of year has arrived when we check in with our students through the annual wellbeing survey.
At Dodges Ferry Primary School student wellbeing is a top priority, and we value hearing directly from our students about their experiences and perspectives.
Students in Years 4-6 will be participating in the survey from Tuesday, 1 September to Friday, 4 September.
A letter with more details has been sent home with your child/ren.

Thank you.

Hi everyone

This week marks a major milestone for the redevelopment of our school, with the release of the tender for the building contractor scheduled for this Saturday.
All things going to plan, this will be mean that construction works will commence early in 2027.

As you may have heard, we recently received confirmation from the Minister for Education that a further $1.5 million has been allocated to us from the Government’s $10 million Outside School Hours Care Program to undertake additional works on our site to accommodate OSHC. This was very exciting news and means we will be able to increase the total number of available OSHC places by an additional 15.
This extra scope of works for OSHC has been included in the construction tender being released this week, which will allow the works to be undertaken as part of the broader redevelopment of our school.

With construction kicking off in the new year, 2027 will bring significant changes to our site and we will no doubt need to operate just a little differently during the construction period. A key requirement for the building contractor will be to develop a staging plan for the works to ensure our school can continue to operate. I look forward to sharing more information with you on this as things get a little closer, and your patience and support during a time of transition will be greatly appreciated.

Matt Kenny
Principal
