Dimboola Primary School Kinder started their science week a week early! They started off on Monday with creating a chemical reaction between bi carb and vinegar to produce gas bubbles to make sultanas dance. On Tuesday they created the same reaction but captured the gas in balloons. On Wednesday they looked at the relationship between water and oil through the creation of a lava lamp. They then ended the week with a bang by catching the bus (a huge highlight) to the high school to watch students explode their volcanoes they had made. The kids were in awe of the volcanoes and have made plans to make our own next week. A big thankyou to Dimboola Memorial High School in particular for the bus and Damien for driving, Bree for coordinating, and the students. Also thanks to the kinder staff, placement students and the children for their positive attitude, participation and having a go at new things!
