BCC TAKES ALL THREE PODIUM PLACES!

What an incredible achievement at the RoboCup Junior ACT State Championship! Our BCC students secured an outstanding result in the Soccer Robotics – Standard Division, securing 1st, 2nd AND 3rd place!

🥇 Eric W – Year 9
🥈 Syon C – Year 9
🥉 Symoon C, Lina L & Lauren T – Year 5

Competing against approximately 450 students across 134 teams, this is truly an outstanding achievement! RoboCup Soccer is one of the most technically challenging divisions, requiring students to design, build and program autonomous robots while using engineering, coding, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Next up is the RoboCup Junior Australia National Championships in October, where all three teams will compete against the best from across Australia!

A huge congratulations, we are incredibly proud of our talented young STEM stars!

Our Year 10 students are having an amazing time on their Urban Challenge in Sydney!

With beautiful weather, plenty of group activities and the chance to explore Sydney together, they’re making the most of this exciting experience. From navigating the city to working as a team and taking on new challenges, there’s been plenty of opportunities to build confidence and friendships.

Our Year 9 students are having an incredible time at Coolendel Camp in the Buangla Area.

They’ve been busy with canoeing, rock climbing, archery, flying fox, Rogaine, compass games, Battle Royale and Tribal Time with plenty of challenges and adventure to come!

They’ve also been cooking their own meals, embracing the great outdoors and, despite very little sleep, having an absolute ball!

Last Friday, we welcomed our wonderful Grandparents and Special Friends to our Primary School for a very special day!

They joined our students in the classroom, reading books, playing games and sharing in their learning.

The day continued with our amazing Book Week Parade, where our special guests got to see our students bring their favourite book characters to life in some fantastic costumes!

Our Duke of Edinburgh students are having an amazing time on their Adventurous Journey!

As part of their Bronze Award, students have been planning and training for a 2-day, 1-night outdoor expedition, working together in small teams to navigate, hike, camp and prepare their own meals. The journey is all about developing resilience, teamwork, independence, leadership and practical outdoor skills.

They’ve been learning so much, challenging themselves and, most importantly, having a lot of fun!
