🎶 Congratulations to our students on their wonderful performances at the Sydney Eisteddfod last week!

Sydney Eisteddfod is one of Australia’s longest-running performing arts festivals, bringing together young performers across music, dance and drama.

We were also delighted to see the Intercultural Instrumental section, creating a dedicated platform for instruments and musical traditions from diverse cultural backgrounds. We are so proud of our students for sharing the beautiful sound of the guzheng on this stage! ❤️

Congratulations to our students on their wonderful performances at the Sydney Eisteddfod last week!

Han Ya Xi Shui (Cold Crows Playing on the Water) is one of the Ten Great Suites of Chaozhou music.

The piece features subtle pitch inflections that differ slightly from the Western twelve tone equal temperament, giving Chaozhou music its distinctive colour and expressive beauty.

Our lovely students arranged and played the beautiful duet version of 爱殇 Ai Shang. It’s never too late to start learning an instrument at any age, even you had never learnt any before. Really good job to both of them!

Yesterday we had a lovely time performing for the seniors at a retirement village in Canberra for their Harmony Day 😊

We shared some soothing Chinese music, and it was so heartwarming to see everyone smiling, relaxing, and enjoying the moment together.

We are very excited to have piano teacher Ms Shiying Wang joining CCAC.

Shiying graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Chongqing University and has over 20 years of teaching experience.

For consecutive years, her students have participated in the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in China, where she has consistently been awarded the Excellent Teacher Award in recognition of her outstanding guidance.

She has also served as a jury member and artistic committee member for various piano competitions and has been recognised as an Excellent Instructor at several international music festivals and competitions.

Many of her students have won First Prize and Gold Awards and have successfully entered professional music institutions.

She believes that disciplined technical training and musical expression should develop in balance, guiding students to build confidence and artistic depth step by step.

We had such a wonderful time yesterday performing at the Dickson Lunar New Year celebration 🧧✨ Thanks for inviting us City Renewal Canberra

Together with our students, we successfully presented 12 pieces, including both ensemble and solo performances. From our youngest little performers to our adult students, everyone stepped onto the stage with courage and joy.

It was a beautiful way to welcome the new year through music, surrounded by sunshine, laughter and a vibrant community atmosphere.

So proud of all our students and grateful to celebrate the New Year together ❤️

🧧 Lunar New Year Live Music at Dickson 🧧

This Saturday, come celebrate Lunar New Year with us in Dickson!

The Chinese Classical Art Centre will present a one-hour Chinese music performance featuring guzheng and ensemble pieces, including many festive melodies perfect for the New Year atmosphere.

📍 Woolley Street, Dickson (Cape Street end)
🗓 Saturday 21 February
🕜 1:30 – 2:30 pm

After grabbing some food, feel free to stop by, sit down and enjoy the music.
No background knowledge needed, just relax and soak in the festive mood 😊
