Yesterday, our Year 10–12 students had the opportunity to connect with a diverse range of industry professionals and tertiary education providers at the St. Andrew's Grammar Career Expo. 💼

Representatives from sectors including law, nursing and other professional fields joined delegates from Western Australia's universities and TAFEs to provide valuable insights into future study and career pathways.

Students were able to ask questions about university and vocational education options, seek advice on subject selections, and gain a better understanding of what a typical day looks like in various professions.

It was great to see our industry representatives and delegates offer practical guidance to help students make informed decisions as they begin planning their next steps beyond school. 🎓

St. Andrew’s Grammar Celebrates the Feast Day of Saints Constantine and Helene Church, Perth, Western!
St. Andrew’s Grammar was delighted to attend and participate in the Feast Day celebrations of the beloved patron saints of the Community’s church, Saints Constantine and Helene.

Last Sunday our students performed beautifully and were truly a highlight of the celebrations. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school with such pride, talent and passion for our wider school community.

The day was a wonderful celebration of faith, community, and tradition. Guests enjoyed a delicious feast of Greek souvla, cooked by Commuity Board Member and a parent of the school, Harry Navrozidis, accompanied by fresh salads and dessert, along with raffle prizes and a variety of fun activities for the children, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere for all who attended.

Our congratulations and thanks to Father Terry the Hellenic Community Board and staff, and all the dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly to organise such a warm and memorable event. We feel blessed to be part of such a strong and connected community and look forward to many more celebrations together!

🏕// Year 6 Camp // 🏕

Last week, our Year 6 students enjoyed an incredible three-day camp at Kerem Adventure Camp, filled with challenge, teamwork and plenty of fun!

Throughout the camp, students took part in a range of exciting activities including archery, a bush experience, laser tag, a high ropes course, rock climbing and fun quizzes. One of the highlights was gathering around the campfire, roasting s’mores and singing together under the stars, creating many special memories.

A huge thank you to our Year 6 teachers for their planning and organisation, and to the staff who attended for their supervision, making this memorable experience possible for our students.

Today as a school community, we gathered to honour the Battle of Crete, reflecting on the extraordinary bravery of the Greek people and their unwavering support for Australian and New Zealand troops during one of our most challenging times. Their courage forged a bond that continues to unite our nations today.

We also solemnly commemorated the Pontian Genocide, acknowledging a deeply significant chapter of loss and resilience. The powerful words of Geoffrey Edwards echoed throughout the assembly: “The price of freedom is never free…” — a reminder of the enduring cost of the freedoms we enjoy.

We were honoured to hear from the Consul of Greece in Perth, Mrs Eleni Georgopoulou, School Advisory Board Chair, Mrs Eleni Evangel, and Acting Principal, Mrs Siza Macdonald, whose reflections highlighted the importance of preserving these stories for future generations.

The assembly was further enriched by student poetry readings and the beautiful voices of the St. Andrew’s choir, bringing a sense of reverence to the occasion.
As Mrs Georgopoulou so poignantly said, “Lest we forget.” Today St. Andrew’s Grammar stood together in remembrance of the Battle of Crete and the Pontian Genocide, gratitude, and respect, committed to ensuring that these sacrifices are never forgotten.

“Our thanks to our special guests and parents who attended and to our staff and students who worked tirelessly to commemorate this significant occasion.” Says Acting Principal Mrs Macdonald.
