This weekend, our team came together to celebrate Mel, as she prepares to welcome her precious baby girl into the world. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with laughter.

Seeing our team together outside of the service to support and celebrate each other is a wonderful reminder of the strong connections that make our Launchpad family so special.

🌊🐠 World Ocean Day 2026 🐢💙

Today, our little learners celebrated World Ocean Day through a hands-on ocean-themed tough tray experience! The children explored a variety of natural and sensory materials, discovering different ocean animals, textures, colours, and habitats through play.

As they investigated the tray, the children engaged in meaningful conversations about marine life, ocean environments, and the importance of caring for our waterways and oceans. Through sensory exploration and imaginative play, they developed their curiosity, creativity, and understanding of the world around them.

Experiences like these help foster a love and appreciation for nature from an early age, encouraging children to become future caretakers of our environment. 🌎💙

A huge thank you to all of our families who attended our Kinder Information Night! We loved having the opportunity to connect with you and share more about our kindergarten program and what makes it so special.

Information nights like these are so important as they help families gain a deeper understanding of the kinder journey, what children experience throughout their day, and how we support learning, development, and school readiness in a meaningful and play-based way.

We also explored the differences between sessional kindergarten and long day care kindergarten, including the flexibility, extended learning opportunities, and continuity of care that long day care kinder can provide for children and families.

Families were able to gain insight into:
✨ A day in the life of our kindergarten program
✨ School readiness and how we support children to build confidence and independence
✨ Victorian Government kindergarten funding and how it applies to families
✨ The importance of play-based learning and intentional teaching experiences

A big thank you to our Kinder Teams for facilitating the session! Hayley, Kat, Tiana and Taylah loved being able to connect with you all and share their programs with you.

Our Kinder 4 children practicing their “Get down low and go, go, go!” fire safety drill that they learned today during the wonderful visit from the Diamond Creek Fire Brigade 🚒🔥

The children had such an engaging and educational experience, learning important fire safety skills in a fun and interactive way. A big thank you to the firefighters for sharing their knowledge and teaching the children how to stay safe in an emergency!

A huge thank you to the Diamond Creek Fire Brigade for an amazing educational visit today! 🚒🔥

The children had such a fantastic hands-on learning experience, discovering the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe. From learning about fire safety to practicing “Get down low and go, go, go!” everyone was engaged, excited, and eager to learn.

These experiences are so valuable for building confidence, awareness, and real-life safety skills in a fun and interactive way. We truly appreciate the time, knowledge, and care shared by the brigade crew — what an amazing job they do every single day! 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

Road Safety Awareness Week at Launchpad Diamond Creek 🚦

This week our children have been learning all about road safety. It’s been wonderful to see the confidence and understanding of our three and four year olds grow as they explored safe ways to cross roads, recognise traffic signs and talk about staying safe near cars and roads in the Kinder 3 Room!

Building these important habits early helps our children become aware, confident and safe members of the community 💛

Last week, we celebrated our Mother’s and all the incredible role models in our children’s lives. 💐

Throughout the week, the children enjoyed creating special experiences and thoughtful home made gifts to show their love and appreciation to the people who nurture, guide and support them each day. It was so beautiful to see the excitement and pride on the children’s faces as they prepared something special for their loved ones.

We also acknowledge that Mother’s Day can bring a mix of emotions for many people and we hold close in our thoughts those who may be missing loved ones or finding this time difficult 🤍
