🏡 There really is no place like home… ❤️

Some of you may remember Ellie, who was part of our Story House Diamond Creek family throughout 2023 and 2024.

Ellie completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with us as a trainee, travelling all the way from Healesville to be part of our team here in Diamond Creek.

Eventually, the travel became a little too much, and Ellie found an opportunity closer to home, sadly saying goodbye to Story House.

But… the good news is, she’s back! 🥰

For some time, Ellie has been hoping for the opportunity to return to Story House Diamond Creek, and we’re so excited to finally say WELCOME HOME, ELLIE! 🎉

Ellie has rejoined our team as a Casual Educator and will be working across both of our Diamond Creek services, bringing her experience, passion and familiar smile back to our Story House community.

Sometimes you don’t realise just how special a place is until you’ve left and Ellie has reminded us that Story House Diamond Creek truly gives that feeling❤️

🌸 Happy Educators’ Day to our amazing Story House Diamond Creek team! 🌸

Today we celebrate the incredible educators who make such a difference in the lives of our children and families. ❤️

To celebrate today, our team will enjoy some beautiful Story House themed homemade cupcakes lovingly baked by Tiff’s sister, who loves to bake! 🧁

Later this month, our team will also enjoy a lovely lunch at a local venue, giving everyone the chance to relax, connect and celebrate together when the weather is a little nicer. ☀️

Early childhood education is so important. Our educators nurture, guide, encourage and inspire children every day, helping them build confidence, relationships, curiosity and the foundations for lifelong learning. 🌱

While today is a special opportunity to say thank you, we don’t only celebrate our educators today, we celebrate and appreciate them every single day. 💕

💛 When we support our educators, everyone feels the difference.

A little surprise arrived from our wonderful Support Office, and what a lovely reminder of how much those small moments of connection matter. 🥰

Our educators were gifted a little fun, food and time together, with Jenga, Connect 4, Naughts & Crosses and some yummy snacks to enjoy during their breaks. 🎲🍫❤️

But more than the games and treats, it was the message behind the gift that really meant so much.
"The best moments happen when we come together."

Our educators bring so much care, creativity and heart to the way children learn, play and grow every single day. They create safe, welcoming spaces where children can be themselves, explore, discover and feel that they belong.

And just as importantly, connection matters for our teams too. Taking a moment to pause, laugh, play and enjoy each other's company creates those meaningful connections that strengthen our teams and our sense of belonging.

We truly believe that when our educators feel supported, heard, valued and engaged, that positive energy flows directly into the children and families we have the privilege of working alongside. 🌱💕

❤️ Celebrating 12 Incredible Years with Joy! ❤️

Today we are celebrating a very special milestone, 12 wonderful years of Joy at Story House Diamond Creek! 🎉

For 12 years, Joy has been creating meaningful connections with our children, families and fellow educators. Her caring nature, infectious personality, sense of humour and genuine passion for early childhood education have made such a lasting impact on our community.

Joy has a beautiful ability to make everyone around her feel welcome, valued and supported. She brings so much warmth and happiness to our service, and we are incredibly grateful for all the love, care and dedication she has shared over the years. 💕

One of the sweetest parts of celebrating this milestone was seeing our Kinder children proudly draw pictures of Joy as a special gift. Their excitement and thoughtfulness captured just how meaningful the relationships Joy has built with our children over the years.

And, of course, we couldn't celebrate Joy without mentioning her wonderful sense of fun! From the laughs at work to the celebrations outside of work, Joy certainly knows how to bring the party wherever she goes! 💃🥂

🌿 Welcome Back, Tiffany — Our New Service Manager!

We are so excited to welcome Tiffany back to Story House Early Learning Diamond Creek after 9 months of maternity leave.

Tiffany has returned in her new role as Service Manager. After almost 5 years as our 2IC and with 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, we couldn’t be happier to have her back and stepping into this exciting next chapter with our team and families.

We thought it was only fitting that Tiffany introduce herself and share a little about her journey and philosophy. 💛

“Hi everyone! 👋
I’m Tiffany, and I’m so excited to be back at Story House Diamond Creek after 9 months with my beautiful baby boy, Harrison.

I’ve worked in Early Childhood Education for 15 years, starting straight after Year 12. My passion for working with children began from a young age, having three much younger siblings. My very first childcare job was actually washing dishes at my brother and sister’s kinder after school in Years 9 and 10! 😂

Throughout my career, I’ve worked as an Assistant Educator, Lead Educator, Educational Leader and 2IC, always working towards becoming a Service Manager. Stepping into this role feels like such a special milestone, and I’m incredibly excited to be doing it with a team and community I already know and love. 🌿

I believe that when educators feel supported, valued and cared for, that positivity flows through to our children and families. I want everyone who walks through our doors, whether it’s a family, educator, visitor or maintenance person, to feel welcomed, respected, heard and connected. 💛

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me couch-rotting with reality TV, catching up with friends and family, or making spontaneous last-minute plans to fill my spare time… because doing nothing is boring! 😜

A huge thank you to the wonderful team from Diamond Creek CFA for taking the time to visit our kindergarten children this week! 🚒🔥

Our 4-year-olds had an incredible time exploring the fire truck, meeting our local firefighters, and learning important fire safety skills in a fun and engaging way. One of the biggest highlights of the day was having the opportunity to use the fire hose from the truck to try and knock over an orange traffic cone. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and excitement!

Teaching children about fire safety from a young age helps build confidence, awareness, and knowledge of what to do in an emergency. Experiences like these not only support their learning but also help strengthen the connection between our children and the amazing community helpers who keep us safe.
