What a fantastic morning at the beach we did have interacting with natural elements, as you all realise fort building involves trial and error and as we carried large pieces we worked collaboratively to create a wonderful shelter. Our shelter had a seaw**d wind chime an antenna for the radio and even a flag.

A simple rock pool at the beach to any other person as they walk and wonder but to a child, they are so enthralled as they get to see firsthand how tiny creatures survive harsh conditions like changing water levels and crashing waves. Children spot diverse organisms like crabs, starfish, sea anemones, and small fish, learning that different species share the same micro-habitat.

Children sharpen their senses by looking closely under ledges and inside w**d clusters to spot well-camouflaged animals. Wondering how a starfish moves or why a crab walks sideways sparks natural scientific curiosity.

And why do crabs walk sideways? A crab's leg joints act like simple hinges that only flex sideways.
