Early support matters. The longer literacy gaps are left unaddressed, the harder they can become to close.

At Elevate, we provide explicit, systematic intervention tailored to each child’s needs. We also work closely with parents, helping you understand how to support your child and advocate confidently for them.

We do not just work with your child. We walk alongside your family.

Elevate Literacy is not a tutoring service.

Tutoring often focuses on helping students keep up with classroom work. Literacy intervention goes deeper. It identifies the foundational skills holding a child back and provides explicit, structured teaching to address those gaps.

At Elevate, intervention is delivered by experienced teachers who have completed additional specialist training in how children learn to read and spell.

We assess before we teach, so we understand each child’s strengths, areas of difficulty and specific learning needs. From there, lessons are carefully planned, detailed notes are kept and progress is monitored regularly.

This means teaching can be adjusted as a child progresses. We do not simply repeat the same instruction louder, faster or for longer. We look closely at what is working, where a child is becoming stuck and what needs to change.

We also believe parents should understand the support their child is receiving. We are open about progress and willing to share assessment results, observations and next steps.

But what really makes our model unique is the role parents play.

We know that one session each week is rarely enough practice for a struggling reader to make the progress they need. That is why parents are encouraged to sit in on sessions, listen to the language we use and see exactly how each skill is taught.

We then provide practical guidance and carefully selected activities for short practice sessions at home between appointments.

Parents are not left trying to work it out on their own. We teach them how to support their child, what to practise and how to respond when their child becomes stuck.

This creates consistency between the clinic and home, increases the amount of effective practice each child receives and helps parents become informed, confident advocates for their child.

We see this all the time.
