No experience necessary; this workshop is suitable for complete beginners.

A beautiful Semester 1 of creativity for our Class 4 students 🌿

We began with air-dry clay flower holders for Mother’s Day and felted hearts, before starting our cross-stitch journey. Through pastel work, the children explored the balance of light and dark, then discovered symmetry and pattern through stitch samples. These skills are now coming together in their main project — a cross-stitch pencil case. 🧵✨Jewels

Golden Hill offers a variety of elective subjects for High school students in Classes 8-10. Our Semester 2 electives include Graphic Design, Photography, Psychology, Community Sport, Japanese, Hospitality, Horticulture, and Blacksmithing and Bushcraft!

This is a popular elective subject in which students learn to work with a traditional forge, alongside developing woodworking and bushcraft skills with the talented Justin Chester.

Painting in Class 4
Wet-on-wet painting is a distinctive technique used in Steiner Schools. It supports the children’s understanding of colour sense by blending colours and giving the children artistic confidence.

At a recent Class 4 meeting, parents got to be students and painted beautiful snails using the technique for the first time, giving them insight into the reverence of this painting method.

Early this term, Golden Hill Steiner School welcomed Pauliene O'Grady to our campus. Pauliene visited Golden Hill to complete our first IB consultation visit, and we're pleased to report that Golden Hill passed with flying colours! We are now well on the way to being an International Baccalaureate school for 2027.

The IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) blends academic study with practical, hands-on skills, aligning closely with the holistic philosophy of Steiner education.
