Thank you Sarah and Lucas from Ryde Fire Station for coming to teach all of us about fire safety and evacuation procedures!
Our children absolutely enjoyed your company and learned lots of important life long knowledge and skills- how to protect ourselves and others from fire!

After our amazing fire fighters left, our children extended on their own learning by pretending to become fire fighters themselves, wanting to put on the gears Lucas showed them during the incursion to rescue our wild animals from the "trees that were on fire". It was also a perfect timing for our monthly fire evacuation practice- which our children definitely aced!

Harmony Week 2023: Everyone Belongs

What a busy, yet meaningful and successful week of celebrating Harmony Week 2023!

We have teamed with Walanga Muru - Macquarie University to collaborate with our local (and beyond) Eearly Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services and schools in advocating the importance of ECEC and education in creating a brighter future, where "everyone belongs".

So many ECEC services and our local schools have participated with one heart in advocating for social justice, equality, equity, inclusion, respect for diversity and differences.
This shows how strong and connected our community is!

It was a busy week for us at Morning Buds, we has so many special visits from Aunty Trish and Carol from Walanga Muru community at Macquarie University to read the dream time story of "How the Birds Got Their Colours". The children then engaged in a sensory craft experience of creating our own birds! The children also made scones with Wattleseed - Thank you for sharing your delicious recipe Aunty Trish!

We had children from CCA NSW Family Day Care and North Ryde Community Preschool coming to join us in our STEM Incursion with Dr Lolly- which we explored Australia using our friend robot. This experience exposed children to early STEM concepts of coding, directions, problem solving and much more! And the most important part was that they all had SO MUCH FUN!

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO DR LOLLY (from USYD) for visiting us today with the cool robots and unforgettable fun STEM experiences! 🤖 👾
It was an exciting and an extra ordinary day for our children, and our educators to engage with such advanced technology!
Look at our amazing early scientists experimenting and exploring with advanced STEM elements!

Graduation and Christmas season has come! We are so pleased to present all of our school leavers and celebrate their achievements this year.

We are so proud of how far they have come over a short period of time! Many thanks to our families and our children who worked so tirelessly to remember Christmas and graduation songs!

Until next year!

Silly Sparkle the Elf has been causing some chaos in our centre lately, preparing us for a busy Christmas this year!

Thanks to her, our mornings have been very busy, starting with a big surprise from Sparkle and working collaborative to fix things up and clean after the mess she has made.

P.S. I think Sparkle the Elf loves to play floor is lava, just like our children! I guess we could get along together...if only she becomes less silly 😜🤪🙃
