Hoping that our Young Parents community have enjoyed a safe and relaxing Christmas/New Years break.
Quick post to let you know that I will be contacting everyone regarding the return to school dates and Individual meetings times when I return to work on Friday 27th Jan.
Individual meeting times are to ensure that everyone is aware and is more comfortable with all the new changes and to also set goals and timetables for students/parents/carers. Meetings will start Monday 30th January and continue throughout the week.
DM or text/call me on 0439359152 if you have any concerns or questions or need a specific meeting time.

Learning Continues for Young Parents
Our Community Bank has been a regular supporter of the Yuille Park Community College Young Parents Program for students to participate and gain nationally recognised training (VET) qualifications through the BGT RTO. As part of this training, students work to gain meaningful, real-life skills for employment. Students are currently completing a Certificate III in Business including many electives from the hospitality and retail packages.
The program provides a flexible learning environment where parenting students (up to 21 years of age) can attend with their child. Students enrol in VCAL at the Young Parents Campus and can attain a Senior Secondary Certificate.
Impact Achievement: Continuation of secondary education for young parents
Community Investment Category: Youth
If your community group or organisation may be interested in applying for Community Investment project funding this year, ask in Branch for more information, eligibility criteria and/or an application form.

Dear students and families
As the term came to an end we continue to face challenging times ahead. With this challenge however, comes the opportunity to do things a little bit differently and to stay connected in different ways.
Teachers and Education Support Staff have been working over the last four days to be ready for remote learning. At this point staff will return to school on Tuesday the 14th and students on Wednesday the 15th of April however there is a strong chance we may not return and will need to work and learn from home. We have sent packs of learning home – please don’t use these packs until the 15th of April should we need to.
Staff are also working on getting themselves ready to work online and to work with students online also. How and when is to still be worked out, but it is hoped we can get moving on this as quickly as possible with support from the department. Watch this space.
In the meantime look after each other and ensure you follow the advice from our health experts and the government. Please refer to the link below for further information, support and guidance from DET.
