It was an honour for Adrian Oosthuizen to receive our Community Recognition Award yesterday from James Griffin, MP for Manly on behalf of the Parliament of NSW on the Club’s 60th Birthday.
Dee Why RSL Toastmasters Club received a mention in the NSW Parliament for its community contribution and “dedicating themselves to empowering others to build their communication skills, with a focus on developing and improving public speaking.”
The announcement was tabled in the Parliamentary Hansard.
Adrian told James Griffin that our DYRSL Toastmaster Club’s community strength is our ability to provide a secure space for people of all nationalities and ages to develop their speaking skills here in Australia and have fun.
