Another fun-filled day celebrating our favourite stories!

🐛 Nursery explored The Very Hungry Caterpillar with colourful handprint painting.

🍎 Toddlers & Junior Kindy enjoyed a Very Hungry Caterpillar themed tuff tray.

🐱 Senior Kindy explored Pete the Cat, colouring his white shoes and matching colourful buttons to each shoe. 👟🔴🟡🔵

🐝 Kindergarten explored Willbee the Bumblebee, creating their very own buzzing bees!

We jumped straight into the pages of some of our favourite stories today! 🌈🐛🐱

🐠 Kindy made sparkly Rainbow Fish and shared special kindness scales with their friends.
🐱 Senior Kindy went groovy with a Pete the Cat sensory adventure!
🐛 Junior Kindy, Toddlers & Nursery got creative with The Very Hungry Caterpillar, making colourful caterpillars from cotton pads!

📚 Happy Book Week, Bay Explorers families! Today we begin a magical week celebrating the incredible adventures that books can take us on. Don’t forget that children are invited to dress up each day as we celebrate the joy of reading and bring our favourite stories and characters to life! Throughout the week, the children will enjoy storytime adventures, imaginative play, creative craft experiences, book-inspired activities and opportunities to explore their favourite stories. Together we’ll discover new characters, build a love of reading, strengthen early literacy skills and let our imaginations soar. 💛 Happy Daffodil Day, families! 💛

Don’t forget to wear something yellow today as we come together to support the Cancer Council and raise awareness for those affected by cancer. Throughout the day the children will learn about hope, kindness, caring for others and helping our community through age-appropriate discussions, stories, creative experiences and acts of kindness. Together we can spread sunshine and hope.

🧪✨ NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK – DAY THREE! 🌈🥚

Another exciting day of experimenting! Our little scientists explored Magic Milk and colour mixing, watched the fizzy reactions of baking soda and vinegar and discovered what happens when a bath bomb meets water. 🌈🫧

We finished with our Egg Drop Challenge, where the children chose different materials to protect their eggs before dropping them from a height to see which would survive! 🥚💥

A fun-filled day of predicting, experimenting and discovering! 🔬✨

🧪✨ NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK – DAY TWO! 🎈🌈

Day Two of Science Week brought even more exciting discoveries! Our little scientists explored water and oil, observing how the two liquids behave differently and don’t mix together. 💧

The children got wonderfully hands-on with a shaving foam colour experiment, watching colours blend and change as they mixed them through the foam. 🌈 They also headed outdoors to investigate light and shadows, using different objects to observe and trace the shadows created by the sunshine. ☀️

To top it all off, the children completed our balloon blow-up experiment, combining vinegar and bicarb soda and watching in amazement as the reaction created gas and inflated the balloon all by itself! 🎈🧪

Another fantastic day of predicting, experimenting, observing and discovering through play! 🔬✨

🧪🌈 NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK – DAY ONE! 🌋☁️

What an exciting start to Science Week! Today our little scientists explored colour mixing, squishing and blending paints to discover new colours. 🌈

The children also created rain clouds, watching coloured water travel through the “clouds” like rain, before experimenting with volcanoes and watching them bubble, fizz and erupt! 🌋☁️

A wonderful day of hands-on learning, encouraging curiosity, prediction, observation and discovery! 🔬✨
