A Wonderful Visit from Bugs Ed! 🦋🦟🪲

Today, Bugs Ed visited our centre to educate the children about the fascinating world of insects. The children were captivated by the opportunity to observe and learn about these incredible creatures, with a particularly exciting moment when our praying mantis laid an egg during the visit!

Experiences like these spark curiosity, encourage scientific thinking and create meaningful opportunities for hands-on learning.

The buzz is back at Gardenia! 🐝🐝🐝

After welcoming Teralba Bees and Matilda to our centre last year, we were so excited to have them return today for another special day of bee learning and discovery.

Children across the centre had the opportunity to reconnect with Matilda and learn more about bees, their role in our ecosystem, how they work together and why protecting our pollinators is so important.

It was wonderful to see the children’s excitement as they recognised our special visitor from last year and continued building on their knowledge and understanding.

A big thank you to Teralba Bees and Matilda for returning to share another wonderful hands-on learning experience with our Gardenia community.

Our Kindergarten Art Showcase celebrated our Mini Chef Program: Around the World.

Throughout the term, the children have explored different cultures, countries and cuisines, using food as a meaningful way to discover the world around them. From learning about traditional dishes and ingredients to creating artwork inspired by their experiences, the children have combined creativity, culture and curiosity throughout their learning.

This showcase was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their individual contributions and the rich learning experiences that have taken place throughout the term.

A special thank you to our families for joining us and celebrating the children’s creativity and achievements.

The Power of Role Play

“Let’s pretend!” can lead to some of the most meaningful learning.

Through role play, children build confidence, communication, creativity and problem-solving skills as they create stories, take on roles and make sense of the world around them.

What looks like play is so much more — it’s learning in action.

The footy fever has arrived at Gardenia!

With tonight’s big game on, the children across the centre couldn’t resist bringing their team spirit along today. We loved seeing everyone getting involved, sharing their excitement and showing off their footy colours with their friends and educators.

Fins Up!

A little snippet of the children’s contributions to our Around the World Art Showcase for Term 3.

Each room has brought their own individual flair, creativity and perspective to the showcase, with children exploring different cultures, places, colours and artistic styles through their own unique creations.

We love seeing how each learning space has transformed these experiences into something truly their own, celebrating the creativity and individuality of our young learners.
