Advanced Outdoor Ed Ski Camp 2026 ๐ŸŽฟโ„๏ธ๐Ÿ‚

Our Advanced Outdoor Education class took on the slopes at Perisher for an epic ski camp.

Students embarked on a hike in the snow on day 1, summiting Dead Horse Gap mountain, rewarded with an amazing view at the top and a fun penguin slide down.

On days 2 and 3, the class carved up the slopes with the option of skiing or snowboarding. After a couple of lessons, the class mastered their technique and killed in on the snow.

An amazing experience all together, with everyone looking forward to the final chapter of Outdoor Ed this yearโ€ฆ

๐ŸŒ Diplomacy in action!

Recently, three of our Year 10 students represented ADHS at the Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA), generously sponsored by the Rotary Club of Woden Daybreak.

Taking on the role of delegates from the United Arab Emirates, our team honed their public speaking, critical thinking, and negotiation skills while debating global resolutions. Beyond the formal debate chamber, the weekend was packed with collaborative bloc meetings, strategy planning, and building lifelong friendships with students from across Australia.

A huge thank you to Rotary Club of Woden Daybreak for making this invaluable opportunity possible for our students and shoutout to Mr Burns & Ms McLean for taking time out of their weekend to support our students!

Last week, nearly 700 students took part in our annual Walkathon! โ˜€๏ธ The sun was shining, the vibes were high, and it was a great day out around the lake.

We finished the day with grass games, karaoke and plenty of time to hang out and take in the views. ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŒฟ

๐Ÿ† Namadgi took home the trophy, with Kakadu close behind, followed by Kosciuszko and Daintree.

Thanks to all our students and staff who made the day such a great one!

๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ The Jungle Book! ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽญ

What an incredible experience The Jungle Book has been for everyone involved! After weeks of rehearsals, hard work and plenty of laughs, it was amazing to see the production come to life on stage.

From the silly jokes and fun moments to the more emotional scenes, our students did an amazing job bringing the story to life. Every detail, from the costumes to the set pieces, helped make the final performances something special.

A huge thank you to all the staff who helped behind the scenes and supported our students throughout the production. A special thank you to Mr Bailey and Ms Enright, who stayed back every week for rehearsals and dedicated so much time and effort to making the show possible. ๐Ÿ‘

Thank you also to everyone who came along to watch and support our performers! Experiences like these create memories that last well beyond the final curtain, and we hope The Jungle Book is one our students will remember for years to come. ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŽญ

๐ŸŒ† Elements Take on Sydney!

Our Elements students recently headed off on their Sydney Camp for a few action-packed days of exploring, teamwork and new experiences!

Students got out and about across the city, taking on an Amazing Race, exploring some of Sydneyโ€™s iconic sights, catching the ferry to Watsons Bay and putting their teamwork to the test with Survivor in Hyde Park.

More than just a trip away, the camp was a great opportunity for students to build their leadership, teamwork and personal development skills, while challenging themselves and creating some great memories along the way.

With great weather and plenty of laughs, students had an awesome time!

A big thank you to the staff who helped organise and support such a great camp! ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐Ÿฆ The Lion King โ€“ Sydney! ๐ŸŽญ

Last week, 50 of our Performing Arts students headed to Sydney to see Disneyโ€™s The Lion King at the Capitol Theatre!

Students experienced professional theatre at its best, with an incredible combination of puppetry, music, dance and drama. It was a great opportunity to see how itโ€™s done and take some inspiration back into their own performances.

A big thank you to Mr Lintern and Ms Power for organising the trip. Our students were fantastic and proudly demonstrated our Deakin values throughout the day.

Weโ€™re already planning to go back in 2027! ๐ŸŽญโœจ

๐Ÿ“š Thatโ€™s a wrap on Book Week! ๐Ÿ“š

Thank you to all the students who got involved and dressed up - there were some amazing costumes bringing this yearโ€™s theme, Symphonies of Stories, to life! ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ“–

And of course, our staff parade was once again a massive hit! A special shoutout to our Science Faculty, who went above and beyond with Alpacas with Maracas ๐Ÿฆ™๐Ÿช‡

Thanks to everyone who helped make Book Week a great one.

Until next year! ๐Ÿ“šโœจ
