National Super Hero Week is a great opportunity to celebrate children's imaginations, strengths, and everyday acts of kindness!

Here are some fun ideas for educators and families to enjoy throughout the week:

⭐ Dress up as your favourite superhero
⭐ Create your own superhero mask or cape
⭐ Design a superhero with a special power
⭐ Read superhero-themed stories together
⭐ Set up a superhero obstacle course
⭐ Go on a "kindness mission" and help someone in your community
⭐ Draw or write about a real-life superhero, such as a parent, grandparent, educator, nurse, firefighter, or teacher
⭐ Practice your superhero moves with music and movement activities

🌿 A wonderful garden to table experience with Family Day Care Educator Leanne and the children in her care.

After caring for their veggie garden, the children harvested their first cucumber and enjoyed preparing and tasting it together. Experiences like these help children learn about healthy eating, nature and sustainability.

Have you ever done Coin rubbing?

Today we became little investigators and artists! Children placed coins under paper and used crayons to gently rub over the top, discovering the hidden patterns, shapes and numbers on Australian coins. 🇦🇺

This simple activity encouraged fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and early numeracy as children explored different coin values and compared their sizes. The children were excited to see the coin designs magically appear on their paper!

🌟 Learning through play can be as simple as a crayon, paper, and a few coins!
