Between the two of us, we have six little ones to feed, so planting this Cape Gooseberry was a no-brainer!

Fast-growing, incredibly productive, and happy to pop up new plants with very little encouragement, Cape Gooseberries are one of those plants that just keep on giving. Their sweet, tangy fruit rarely makes it as far as the gate, usually being eaten straight from the garden by little hands.

Of course, they're not the only fruiting plants keeping our families well supplied. Across the garden you'll also find apples, citrus, plums, strawberries, blueberries, feijoas, currants, raspberries, and quinces, all working together to create an abundant, edible landscape that provides food throughout the seasons.

One of the joys of growing a diverse food garden is knowing there's always something ripening, flowering, or preparing for the next harvest.

A huge thank you to for putting together such a wonderful event. It was so lovely to be back, catching up with old friends, making new connections, and being surrounded by such a beautiful community.

An extra special thank you goes to our students. We had such a fantastic group, full of curiosity, enthusiasm, and thoughtful conversations. Teaching our Starting a Witch's Garden class was an absolute joy, and we loved sharing our passion for plants, gardening, and earth-based practice with you all.

There were also some absolutely beautiful clay sculptures created during the workshop. Each piece was infused with its maker's own magic, intention, and creativity, and it was such a privilege to witness them come to life in so many different forms.

We're still riding the wave of inspiration from the weekend!

We’re so excited to be returning to Witch School again this year to teach our *Starting a Witch’s Garden* workshop! We absolutely can’t wait to share space, soil, plants, and magic with you all once again.

We also have our upcoming Winter Witch’s Garden Workshop happening soon, a hands-on seasonal experience exploring winter gardening, medicinal plants, soil care, frost protection, seasonal magic, and creating with the slower rhythms of the earth. We’ll even be crafting small clay figures for the outdoor altar

Our Witchy Thrifty Tour to Daylesford over the weekend was nothing short of magical.

We began the morning slowly with coffee at The Big Apple in Bacchus Marsh, before heading into Ballan for a little treasure hunting — uncovering all sorts of second-hand gems and curiosities along the way.

From there, we wandered through Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens, taking time to sit with and connect to the heritage-listed trees — listening, grounding, and soaking in the wisdom of the land.

Of course, no witchy wander would be complete without a visit to Euphemia Blackthorn, where we gathered the most beautiful spell ingredients and magical bits and pieces.

We finished our day at Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve, collecting mineral water straight from the source — a quiet, grounding end to a full and nourishing day.

And somewhere along the way home… we couldn’t resist stopping to buy fresh chestnuts from a lovely roadside couple

These tours are about slowing down, connecting, and finding magic in the simple things — and this one was truly special.

It's go time for winter weather crops. Getting our hands in the cooler soil and transplanting seedlings for cauliflower, broccoli, brussell sprouts and more! Crop change over is always a busy time; listening to what the soil needs, feeling the change in landscape conditions. The land breaths a sigh of relief when the dew cools surfaces and the sun softens. What are you planting this week?

🍂✨ What a weekend ✨🍂

We had such an incredible workshop, with the autumn energy really making itself known in the best way.

We spent the day wandering the farm, taking it all in slowly, before gathering around the fire for conversation, connection, and shared learning. To finish, we got our hands back in the soil, planting flowering bulbs and mugwort into the herb garden, adding to the space for the seasons ahead.

With autumn being the season of mushrooms, everyone left with dried oyster mushrooms to take home, to weave into both their magical practice and their meals.

So much gratitude for these days, these people, and the rhythm of the seasons guiding it all
