“… the basic law of Children’s creativity is that its value lies not in its results, not in the product of creation, but in the process itself. It is not important what Children create, but that they create…” - Vygotsky.

Last month we held our biggest fundraiser of the year, Dripstone Children’s Centre’s Annual Art Show. After weeks of preparation and countless hours of love, effort and dedication by our amazing team of Educators, the Art Show came together beautifully. The evening was such a spectacular showcase of creativity. It truely highlighted the importance of focusing on the process of Children’s learning, not just the final product. It was an opportunity to come together, celebrate our Children and delight in our amazing Dripstone community 🎨🖌️

Dripstone Children’s Centre would like to congratulate one of our amazing Educators, Deepa, on completing her Diploma. Deepa started at Dripstone in July of 2024 after enrolling to complete her Certificate III. Within two weeks of completing this, she then signed up to study her Diploma, demonstrating her clear commitment to personal growth and continuous improvement. We are incredibly proud of Deepa’s achievements and her evolution as an Early Childhood Educator.

Days like today make you reflect on our Dripstone Community and the passion, dedication and selflessness of our fabulous Educators and Families.

Whether you stopped in for an hour or stayed for the whole day, we are so incredibly appreciative of your help and support. Together we made some wonderful changes to our outdoor environment 🌿

This morning we hosted Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea at the Centre to raise much needed funds for Cancer Council. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our beautiful Dripstone Families who stopped in and slowed down their morning to spend it at the Centre. To our amazing community, MD Fresh Produce Darwin who donated an incredible fruit & veg box, Territory Wildlife Park for their donation of a super family pass, Crocosaurus Cove Darwin for donating a family pass, Poppy Yayakos who generously donated her Children’s book “The Tall Poppy and the Small Rose” as well as a selection of other beautiful stories, and lastly to Tailwag Coffee for providing our caffeine fix to start our busy Thursday morning. Finally, I would like to share my greatest appreciation for our team of dedicated Educators who baked and prepared all of the food on offer this morning. Without them, these meaningful community events would not be possible.
In total so far, we have raised over $1100 dollars to support Cancer Council, a truely wonderful outcome to celebrate the combined contribution of our Dripstone Community.
