Our Year 5 and 6 students spent the day at St. John's Catholic College, Darwin, on Monday, experiencing life as a secondary student! π«π
They had a wonderful day participating in engaging activities and discovering all the exciting opportunities that are ahead of them.π§ͺβ

On Thursday, 4th of June, some of our Year 6 students attended the Kids in Space NT Showcase Event, at the Danala Education and Community Precinct at Charles Darwin University. ππͺ
We are so proud of the students' hard work and learning, and their growth in confidence and skills in space education!π«π

This Thursday 18th June, our school will be participating in the School Sleep In to raise money and awareness for people experiencing homelessness in the Northern Territory.
Students are invited to wear their pyjamas to school and bring a gold coin donation to support this important cause. Please ensure pyjamas are sun safe. β

Congratulations to our students who, last Sunday, celebrated their First Holy Communion; this is a significant milestone in their faith journey as they received the Eucharist for the first time. βπ€
We are so proud and happy to celebrate this special occasion with them all.

During lunchtime yesterday, our year 6 students took on staff in a friendly soccer match filled with, teamwork, determination, and plenty of fun! β½
It was a commendable fight from the students, but the teachers secured the win 3-1. π
Both teams gave it their all, and the support from the sidelines made for an exciting atmosphere.
Well done to all for showing great sportsmanship and enthusiasm! βοΈ

On Sunday afternoon, some of our school mission leaders and students gathered with the St Mary's Parish community to celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi.βͺ
The event began with a mass at the Cathedral, followed by a prayerful procession through the streets of Darwin City, before returning to the Cathedral for a blessing. ποΈπ
It was inspiring to see so many people gathered together to publicly witness our faith and celebrate the gift of the Eucharist.

Last Thursday, we had our Whole School Athletics Carnival! π
Our students gave it their all, showing incredible teamwork, effort, and sportsmanship across every single activity and event!π
A big thank you to all involved in making this day an enjoyable experience for our students, especially to our PE teacher Sarah Muller, for organising such an amazing day out!
Congratulations to Little for taking out the overall win of the day! ππ

It's been a busy and exciting week in Room 9!π
Students have been getting hands-on with measurement, using balance scales and measuring scales to explore mass and practise their estimation skills.
They also took to the field for soccer training β plenty of energy and enthusiasm all round! π’β½
