This June, we celebrate the incredible diversity of our CDU community and recognise our LGBTQIA+ students, staff, alumni and friends.

Pride Month is about celebrating who you are, embracing authenticity, and creating spaces where everyone feels safe, respected, valued and connected. It's also an opportunity to reflect on the ongoing journey towards equality, inclusion and belonging for all.

At CDU, diversity is something we celebrate every day. Pride Month is a chance to come together, recognise our LGBTQIA+ community, and continue building a culture of inclusion and belonging 💜

Throughout the month, we'll be sharing ways to get involved, learn more, and celebrate Pride across our campuses and community.

🏆 WINNERS ANNOUNCED 🎨

After receiving over 40 incredible submissions and hundreds of votes, the winners of the first-ever Better Together Art Competition have officially been decided 👏✨

🥇 1st Place – Jenna Winters, Don’t Hold On
Jenna’s powerful piece explores the emotional weight of holding on and the growth that comes with letting go. Through striking imagery and symbolism, the artwork reflects renewal, resilience, and self-discovery.

🥈 2nd Place – Simbarashe Mutyambizi, Stitched from Many Skies
Simba’s artwork celebrates learning from cultures and experiences across the world, bringing together artistic influences from Asia, Africa, and Australia into one vibrant and meaningful piece.

The Better Together Art Competition invited CDU students to explore the theme Identity & Individuality, encouraging creativity, authenticity, and self-expression while helping foster a more inclusive and respectful CDU community.

A huge thank you to everyone who submitted artwork and everyone who voted and supported the competition. The creativity and talent shared throughout this campaign has been incredible 🌟

💜 Better Together is a student-staff initiative focused on building safer, more respectful and inclusive campuses through empathy, education, equality and community.

🎓✨ Huge congratulations to everyone who had their graduation ceremonies this week! It’s been lovely seeing everyone come together to mark such a special milestone 💜
