It’s been a very busy week at Jingili this week. Science Fair, Dance lessons, Bullying No way Assembly, Long lunch fundraiser, the AusBike program for our EC classes and music lessons. So many great opportunities for our students. We would also like to thank Justine Davis MLA for the AFLW free tickets.

Celebrating National Science Week at Jingili Primary School!
What an incredible way to celebrate National Science Week 2026 at Jingili Primary School!

Our Jingili Science Fair provided students with an exciting opportunity to step into the role of scientists, researchers and experts, sharing their knowledge, investigations and discoveries with their peers, teachers and community.

Students showcased an impressive range of scientific topics and demonstrated not only their scientific knowledge, but also their ability to question, research, investigate, collect and interpret information, communicate findings and apply the scientific method. Their enthusiasm, confidence and willingness to share their learning made the Science Fair a wonderful celebration of curiosity, creativity and scientific thinking.

Behind this success was a significant period of preparation, mentoring and guidance. Students were supported to develop their ideas, formulate questions, undertake research, design investigations, consider evidence and prepare engaging ways to communicate their scientific understanding. Through this process, students were encouraged to take increasing ownership of their learning and develop the confidence to become the experts in their chosen fields.

The Science Fair was led and coordinated by Science Specialist Teacher, Yvonne Vrodos, who worked closely with students throughout the preparation process and organised the event to provide a meaningful platform for students to share and celebrate their learning. The event reflects Jingili Primary School’s commitment to providing authentic opportunities for students to engage in inquiry, develop scientific literacy and apply their learning beyond the classroom.

A huge congratulations to all of our incredible student scientists!
Your curiosity, perseverance, knowledge and confidence were truly inspiring. You demonstrated that science is everywhere — and that every student can be a scientist!

A very special thank you to our staff, families and community members who supported our students and helped make the Jingili Science Fair such a memorable celebration of National Science Week.
