Happy National Science Week! 🧪🧬

Our Preschoolers took part in their very first science fair where they…

☔️ Read the story Big Rain Coming, discussed weather changes and used their senses to describe what happens when a storm is building up. They then created their own rain clouds with shaving cream, water and food dye.

🛟 Tested out a variety of items to discover what sinks and floats, they made predictions and recorded their test results.

🌈 They also had fun exploring colours and chemical reactions using milk, food dye and dishwashing liquid.

We had such a fun time developing our critical thinking skills and learning new processes!

🙌 Our little legends had an incredible weekend at the Royal Darwin Show, taking home awards across both the group and individual categories! 🏆

It has been so special to see our children’s creativity showcased within our local community. The excitement leading up to the show, and the pride on their faces as they saw their work on display and found out they recognised for their efforts, has been truly heartwarming.

Congratulations to all of our talented Preschoolers, we couldn’t be prouder! 💙

Today we came together for Pyjama Day to raise funds and awareness for children in foster care. ☁️💤

It was wonderful to see so many of our children arrive in their cosy PJs, all helping to support such an important cause.

Our young bakers in our Preschool room have entered their beautifully decorated milk arrowroot biscuits and delicious muffins into this year’s Royal Darwin Show! Under the guidance of our talented Centre Cook, Miss Jenny, the children have been developing their baking techniques while learning valuable skills in the kitchen. 👩‍🍳

This years muffin creations are Black Forest and Cherry Ripe flavours - they look and taste amazing! 🧁🍒 The children will be enjoying them for afternoon tea later this afternoon.

We are fortunate to have a creative and passionate Centre Cook who enriches our children’s learning every day. Through cooking experiences, children learn about food hygiene, develop their independence and celebrate special moments together.

These experiences help foster positive relationships with food, support children’s wellbeing and strengthen their sense of belonging, community and connection! 💛

This Thursday, 23rd of July we will be taking part in National Pyjama Day. 💙
