🐣📚 Easter doesn’t have to be all about chocolate, especially when your little ones can’t enjoy it! 🚫🍫 This Easter, we celebrated with the sweetness of stories. It was a wonderful time to snuggle up and read together. Hoping you had a lovely Easter!📖❤️

Just cleaning out my email and stumbled upon this gem! 💎✨ This persuasive piece was written by a student who really struggled with writing. Seeing her passion shine through despite the challenges? Absolutely heartwarming! 🥹❤️ This is why I teach! 🍎📚

Back in 2018, I invested in a Thermomix (TM5) with future motherhood in mind, but I ended up falling in love with it way before! Last Mother’s Day, my amazing husband upgraded me to the latest TM7, perfect for my upcoming role as a mum. And so it begins—the purée journey! I’m so excited to explore new recipes and see what my little one enjoys. It’s a new chapter for all of us, and I can’t wait to learn and share our culinary adventures.

Tech is amazing! 🤩 I would have shared this with my Computer Science class, but since maternity leave will be all of 2026, I’ll share it here instead. I accidentally left the car window open and got a notification on my phone! 📱 Pretty amazing, right? And so lucky it came when it did because then it started raining again! 🌧️😅

Today’s been a bucket-filling kind of day! We had a blast at Rhyme Time, and I blissed out at yin yoga. 🧘♀️ We braved the rain on our way back to the car, but now we’re cozy as can be. I’m officially nap-trapped while the rain pours down. 🌧️ Heated seats are on, making it extra comfy, and I’m finally catching up on messages with friends. Sometimes, the best days are the unplanned, cozy ones. ❤️

Throwback to June 2012! 👋 Had to say goodbye to my London job and head back to Australia when my work visa ended. 🇦🇺 Leaving my class was tough, especially those two fish we named after a class vote – talk about an authentic writing activity! 🐠🗳️ Teaching since 2007 has been such a blessing. 🙏💖 From different year levels to subjects and countries, I’ve loved every bit of it! Being a first-time mum at 41 and on maternity leave; it is giving me time to reflect on this amazing journey, and I know it’s only going to get better! ✨ Looking forward to what’s next!

Living in a less crowded place has its perks! 🏞️ Had a teacher catch-up dinner on Saturday night, and we were reminded how close we are to wildlife in the NT. 🐾 Check out these photos for a little glimpse of our wild neighbours that came to my office one day! 📸
