⚠️ BOIL WATER ALERT - DARWIN AND PALMERSTON

A boil water alert is issued for Greater Darwin and Palmerston and surrounding areas due to the flooding of Darwin River Dam.

Use cooled boiled water or bottled water for:
• Drinking
• Preparing food
• Preparing baby formula
• Brushing teeth

Residents are urged to conserve the water supply for the above uses only.

NT Health will lift the boil water alert after Power and Water confirms the water supply system is fully operational and the water is safe to drink.

A post we shared earlier this week about diverse faith & cultural celebrations received a huge reaction 🙂
“So many celebrations this week. A perfect example of our diversity and our many faiths celebrating significant holidays at the same time.
Such an important time and great opportunity to educate children to appreciate our diversity and celebrate the similarities, even in our differences.”
A few people suggested the tone needed to change as not all the observances listed were ‘joyous’. Other people suggested some observances we could have also included.
We get it - but please understand that this is a page dedicated to promoting inclusion and a respect & appreciation of our diverse ways of being - primarily with the little people in education & care services and those working with them.
We always try to be respectful & as inclusive as can be with all our posts and we expect the same from those that view our posts in return 🙏

Our Director, Kirsten Tillyard, and Assistant Director, Mandeep Kaur, were fortunate to attend the NT Education and Care Awards on Friday, 10 October 2025.

Kirsten attended as a representative of the ECA NT Committee, joining other Committee Members, ECA NT Staff, and Trevor Brown, the ECA National President.

It was wonderful to see Early Childhood Educators being recognised for their hard work, dedication, and continuous support for children and families across the Northern Territory.
