Always got to support one another, bringing awareness to the remoteness of the NT.
“It made me feel terrible and unheard, like I was going crazy. It’s worse due to the fact that I live remotely, so endometriosis isn’t as widely known about here and options for help are limited.”

Who does everyone recommend in Darwin to help manage their Endo - I.e., Dieticians, GPs, Psychologists, Holistic Practitioners, etc.
Time to update the Endo Directory :)

Congratulations Libby Trainor Parker!
We certainly need more Libby's in the world advocating and spreading the message about Endometriosis.
I must say, I was a bit taken aback when I received the nomination for this award, and I nearly wet my pants when I was announced as a finalist.
It is such an honour, but the best bit was meeting the impressive finalists at the photoshoot we did. It felt so good to be in a room with that much talent, smarts and kindness. My heart was full and I was swollen with pride to be part of a community of people doing good things in the world.
The ceremony is tonight and I can’t wait to see everyone and celebrate each other.

What a warrior, we were so honoured to have had Roxy as our EndoMarch ambassador in 2021 and 2022.
Our thoughts are with Roxy's family at this time as she was so much more than four-paws and a tail 🐾
Roxy has helped and supported people throughout the Darwin community including our very own EndoWarriors 💛

Thoughts? Would love to hear them.
Should Australia introduce menstrual leave? Yes, but we need other period-friendly policies as well.
Menstrual leave has been in the news recently, The Conversation looks into what is happening around the world in this space and what is happening in Australia.

Don't forget to take the time to participate in our Endo@Work Research Project to help inform workplace policy for those living with endometriosis.

Together we can give hope to Australians living with Endometriosis.
1 in 9 Australian women and those assigned female at birth have endometriosis. As many of us know, this can involve debilitating pain and the haunting prospect of infertility.
Endometriosis Australia raises much needed research funding and public awareness and education.
By supporting Endometriosis Australia, you are giving relief to Endo Warriors now and into the future.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today.

If you also have been diagnosed with Endometriosis, when was Adenomyosis brought up to you as a possibility? Was it after it was found or suspected due to imaging, presentation on exam or surgical finding? Was it due to uncontrolled symptoms? Was it after excision of Endometriosis?
Not only do the symptoms overlap with Endometriosis but they overlap with many other pelvic pain and gynecological conditions. Many patients have more than one of these conditions as well, adding to the challenge of treatment and diagnosis
It’s important to note the overlap in symptom presentation and that symptoms may be from both endometriosis AND adenomyosis. This needs to be acknowledged more so that patients are aware that Adenomyosis is a possibility regardless of age
The non-surgical options are similar as well: focusing on symptom management such as pain relief +/or bleeding with hormone therapies
