💻 YEAR 10 STUDENTS EXPLORE THE FUTURE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY 🚀

Fifteen of our Year 10 students recently attended the 2026 Digital Futures Conference at CDU’s Danala Building on 14 September.

The conference brought together a range of speakers who shared their personal journeys, experiences and insights into careers in the Digital Technology sector, providing students with inspiration and practical strategies for success.

Keynote presenter Alisa Camplin shared her incredible journey in life, sport and career, speaking about the qualities and mindset needed to achieve your goals. Students heard about her determination, vision and strategies that helped her become a 2002 Olympic gold medallist in aerial skiing at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games.

Students also had the opportunity to explore stalls from a range of organisations and industries, learning about the technology and systems behind their products and services. There were plenty of interactive experiences too, including VR games and educational demonstrations, with the VR first-person shooter game proving to be a particular favourite!

The conference was a great opportunity for students to discover the many career pathways available in Digital Technology, extending beyond coding and networking systems.

We look forward to continuing to connect our students with industry events, opportunities and experiences as they explore their future pathways! 💻✨

A COLOURFUL FINISH TO TERM 3! 🌈

On Friday 18 September, Dripstone held our third Colour Fun Run Fundraiser, bringing students and staff together for an afternoon of laughs, colour and a few very messy moments!

Thanks to the support of our school community, we raised an amazing $4,717, which will go towards new technology for our school. A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make this possible.

The day was filled with colour powder, water balloons and a water slide, with students and staff getting right into the fun. We also had six brave staff members take on the slime, with Mr Walsh, Ms Charlotte, Mr Guduru, Ms Collinson, Mr Horacio and Ms Kuo all getting their turn in the slime zone! 🪣

A big thank you to Chatime Casuarina for supporting our Colour Fun Run and keeping everyone cool with delicious ice cold bubble tea drinks! 🧋
