🇸🇬✨ Dripstone Ambassadors Take on Singapore!

Earlier this month, our Silver Duke of Edinburgh Ambassadors travelled to Singapore as part of their Adventurous Journey component of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and what an unforgettable experience it was! ✈️🌏

From exploring iconic Singapore destinations including Universal Studios, Singapore Zoo and Gardens by the Bay, to enjoying plenty of hot pot, Korenan BBQ and karaoke nights, our students experienced the best of Singapore both in and out of the classroom. 🎢🎤

But the most meaningful part of the journey was bringing our students together with their new friends from Jurongville Secondary School. After months of connecting through Zoom and Teams, sharing videos and learning about each other’s school lives, it was fantastic for our students to finally meet their Singaporean buddies in person.

Students had the opportunity to experience school life in Singapore, connect with their peers and begin building friendships that we hope will continue well beyond this trip. 🤝🇸🇬🇦🇺

The timing of the visit made the experience even more special, with our students in Singapore during National Day celebrations. They were thrilled to see their Jurongville buddies take part in the National Day Parade, a truly memorable experience and a wonderful insight into Singaporean culture and traditions. 🇸🇬❤️

From cultural experiences and new friendships to adventure, laughter, food and plenty of unforgettable memories, this was certainly a trip our Silver Duke of Edinburgh Ambassadors won't forget!

🐠🎨 Bringing Ceramic Goldfish to Life!

Our Year 8 students have been getting creative in Art, using the slab method to hand-build their very own ceramic goldfish. 🐟

Students added intricate line details to their designs before using glaze and oxide to enhance the surface textures, create depth and add plenty of character to their finished pieces.

We love seeing the creativity and attention to detail coming through in these fantastic ceramic artworks! 👏✨

Was fantastic to attend the Careers Expo today and catch up with Dripstone Secondary College students at the same time!!

🎓 Exploring Future Pathways at the Darwin Careers Expo!

Today, our Year 10 Dripstone students had the opportunity to attend the Darwin Careers Expo at Marrara Netball Stadium, exploring the many possibilities that await them beyond school.

Students connected with a wide range of education, training and career providers, including Charles Darwin University, Apprenticeships NT, NT Police, the Australian Defence Force, mining companies, interstate universities and many more.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to ask questions, discover new possibilities and gain a better understanding of the pathways available to them as they begin planning for their future. 🌟

A big thank you to all the providers who took the time to speak with our students and help inspire the next generation of Dripstone achievers!

After checking out the Dripstone Science Fair 2026 this Thursday, why not head down to the Darwin Festival to catch Year 10 Dripstone student Aliyan, who will be taking on MC duties at the Darwin Port Bandstand in Festival Park! 🎶
