As we indicated at our 2025 AGM and in our recent emails to members, PTANT is conducting a bulk registration process with our members to obtain ACNC status. This will provide additional benefits, such as discounts to services, but also reflects the valuable work that associations do to advance education across the Northern Territory. If you are a PTANT member and have not let us know you are keen to participate in the registration process, please let us know at [email protected] as soon as you can!

Hello everyone! Two things - we hope you've all had a fantastic break, and enjoyed time with friends, family or in blissful solitude. Second, we hope you all have a fantastic start to the new year. PTANT is looking forward to a solid start to a year that will see the Festival of Teaching on August 22, renewed strategic planning and a greater focus on regional and remote reach. We also have a new Executive Officer joining us - welcome to Teagan! She will be in touch with our members soon. Enjoy the long weekend!

PTANT has a stall at the Catholic Education induction day today. Lots of sugar to help them get through the afternoon (and a healthier option...) We look forward to a productive year for our members!

Darwin Holocaust Memorial & Education Centre ⋆ Darwin Military Museum 21/05/2025

The Darwin Holocaust Memorial & Education Centre is now open at the Darwin Military Museum! This permanent exhibition, focused on the Holocaust and other genocides throughout history, offers a powerful educational resource for our community. The NT Jewish Community Association is happy to support school visits to the exhibition and provide a guide from the community to join school groups, enrich the experience with personal stories and help explore themes of Holocaust remembrance and anti-Semitism as a form of racism. If your school is interested in exploring this opportunity further, please reach out to the NT Jewish Community Association through their website [https://www.ntjca.com.au/]. A virtual tour of the exhibition can be found here - https://www.darwinmilitarymuseum.au/darwin-holocaust-memorial-education-centre/.

Darwin Holocaust Memorial & Education Centre ⋆ Darwin Military Museum The exhibition provides a space for reflection and education. It is designed to foster empathy, awareness, and critical thinking about one of the darkest chapters in human history.

PTANT have made the decision to postpone the Festival of Teaching 2025 😢

We want to ensure a successful, enriching and inspiring event to support and celebrate teachers is provided, and due to staffing changes, it is unfeasible to provide the event at this time. The Festival of Teaching will make a comeback in 2026 - be sure to keep an eye out for announcements! 👩‍🏫
