🐟💦 Boof the Barra came to visit! 💦🐟

Yesterday, we had a very special visitor at the centre — Boof the Barra!

The children enjoyed learning all about water safety through a special story, where they discovered some of the most important rules to remember when around water. Boof also taught the children a fun song and dance to help them remember how to stay safe! 🎶🌊

There were lots of smiles, learning and excitement throughout the visit, along with plenty of high fives and stamps from Boof! ✋⭐

A wonderful and engaging way for our children to build their understanding of water safety through play, music and connection. 💙

💛 Supporting One of Our Own – Jonalyn & Her Family 💛

Dear Families and Community,

We are reaching out to ask for your support for one of our wonderful educators, Jonalyn, and her family during an incredibly difficult time.

Following a medical emergency involving Jonalyn’s husband, she has needed to take time away from work to be with and support her family. A GoFundMe page has been created to help ease some of the financial pressure they are facing during this time.

We would love to get these funds to Jonalyn and her family as soon as possible. If you are in a position to donate, we are hoping to raise as much as we can before the end of next week, so the funds can begin providing some much-needed support for her family.

No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a difference. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing the GoFundMe link can also help us reach more people.

Thank you to our beautiful Kentish community for coming together to support one of our own. 💛

Please keep Jonalyn and her family in your thoughts during this difficult time.

🎶 Our Educators Have Been Learning! 💃📚

Last night, some of our amazing educators attended a professional development workshop, "Music, Storytelling and Dance: Get Your Mojo Back!"

The workshop explored the incredible role that music, movement and storytelling play in children's learning and development. Through practical, hands-on experiences, our educators discovered new ways to bring stories to life, use rhythm and rhyme, encourage creativity through dance, and create meaningful learning experiences that inspire imagination and a sense of belonging.

They also explored simple, culturally diverse resources and gained new ideas for incorporating music, storytelling and dramatic arts into everyday experiences for children of all ages and abilities.

A huge thank you to Louise Dorrat for facilitating such an engaging, practical and inspiring workshop. We truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge, passion and enthusiasm with our team.

We love investing in ongoing professional learning to ensure we're continually growing, reflecting and bringing fresh ideas back to our service. We can't wait to share these new experiences with the children over the coming weeks! ❤️🎵✨
