Workshop Series: Tai Chi Fan
The Tai Chi Fan class at the Confucius Institute is being conducted in an orderly manner and always accepts new students with an open attitude.
Health and exercise have always been a long-standing topic of concern for the public. Here, everyone is fully engaged, dancing Tai Chi fans to music, exploring China's unique way of health preservation in every move, and enjoying the nourishment of body and mind.

Workshop Series:Yang Style 24-form Tai Chi
Our class has been gently moving forward, practicing the smooth, classic postures of the 24-form step by step. With every slow, coordinated movement and quiet breath, we let go of tiredness and return to a peaceful state of mind.
In the quiet and warm atmosphere, everyone flowed gently together, feeling the soft strength and balance from traditional Tai Chi.
Truly a precious time to relax, reset, and reconnect with ourselves.

Another peaceful and fulfilling Tai Chi Eight Methods and Five Steps(bafawubu) session at the Confucius Institute!
In our quiet, welcoming space, we moved slowly and mindfully as one, practicing the eight core methods and five fundamental steps of Tai Chi. Every gentle posture and steady breath helped us stay present and grounded.
This practice is more than exercise—it’s a moment to slow down, ease the mind, and connect with inner calm and gentle strength. So grateful to share this meaningful traditional practice together.

Workshop Series: Five Animal exercises
we had a wonderful Health Qigong-Five Animal exercises session at the Confucius Institute.
In this peaceful and welcoming space, everyone moved gently and gracefully in unison. We practiced the forms of Tiger, Deer, Bear, Ape and Bird with calm focus, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
Through soft, mindful movements and slow, steady breathing, the session offered a precious moment to slow down, relax, and find inner vitality and balance. It was wonderful to share this peaceful traditional practice together.

Our Baduanjin class is now well into its journey, and we’re still happily welcoming new students—proof that balance, calm and gentle wellness are always in demand.
With soft traditional music in the air, everyone immerses themselves fully in the moment. Standing relaxed, breathing slowly, each gentle movement and stretch is made with quiet intention.

Workshop Series: Five-Animal Exercise class for children
Five-Animal Exercise class for children was full of energy and fun at the Confucius Institute 🐯🦌🐻🐒🦅
The Five-Animal Exercise (Wuqinxi) is a traditional Chinese health practice.It imitates the movements of five animals — the tiger, deer, bear, monkey, and bird — helping to improve flexibility, balance, and overall well-being.
During the class, children learned the basic movements of each animal while practicing coordination, breathing, and body awareness. Through playful imitation and guided practice, students experienced both the health benefits and the cultural charm of this ancient Chinese exercise.
With laughter, movement, and curiosity, the class created a lively and joyful learning environment. The children enjoyed discovering how traditional Chinese culture can be both healthy and fun.
It was wonderful to see everyone moving, learning, and exploring the spirit of Wuqinxi together. 🌿

Today, CDU CI volunteer teachers were invited to join the Harmony Day event at Casurina Senior College.
A variety of Chinese cultural activities, including handmade lion dance heads, traditional lanterns, Chinese calligraphy, Spring Festival couplets, Hanfu experience, and cucurbit flute performances have once again brought a colourful cultural experience to the students!
The students were highly engaged and have thoroughly enjoyed the charm of Chinese culture! A wonderful Multicultural community!

ACFS Chinese Class
Australian-China Friendship Society (ACFS)
Teachers from CDU CI help with the Chinese classes here every Saturday afternoon from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Three levels offered: Beginner Class, Intermediate Class and Advanced Class.
In this warm and interactive learning environment, children not only improve their Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, but also gain cross-cultural communication experience and make new friends.
