And that's a wrap! Thank you to all who attended the AGTA 2024 national conference. We were able to attract 100 delegates to experience 42 workshops, 9 field trips, 3 social events and a fair whack of humidity!
Thank you in particular to those who volunteered to present. The early feedback suggests that the sessions were engaging and relevant. While Darwin can put on a good show, it's the workshops that make the difference to our professional learning.
We look forward to seeing you in AGTA 2026!

After a few months were it lies dormant on our phones, it's the time of year we start checking the BOM app more regularly. A bit of rain today - if you have a light raincoat, it might be worth packing it.

If you're around on Saturday morning after the conference, definitely head to the Parap Markets for a breakfast laksa!

We haven't done a very good job in applying early bird pricing in they way it's best understood - but we wanted to maximise our numbers by keeping the price lower for longer. However, as we shift into the administrative phase of finalising numbers, registration prices will increase on Wednesday September 18 and close on Wednesday September 25, so if you are yet to register, you'll need to hurry!

Today, we emailed out the workshop preference form to those who have registered for the conference. If you have registered and did not receive an email, please flick us an email at [email protected]

Check out the trailer for the documentary, Wilding, which will be shown at our welcome function and Darwin's Deckchair cinema. After a few welcome drinks and nibbles overlooking the harbour, we'll settle in to view this award-winning documentary. While set in the UK - a world away from Darwin! - the film's themes of thinking differently about agriculture to balance biodiversity with profitability should prompt reflection and discussion everywhere.

Hi everyone, and happy Friday! Thanks to those who have submitted their fieldwork preferences. If you are keen to take some time to review the options, that is totally okay. We will not be allocating on first-come, first-serve but instead trying to balance as many first preferences as we can. Please email if you wish to make any changes to your choices.
A reminder - if you have registered but haven't received an email from us, please let us know.

As you may have noticed, we've let the early bird rate run for longer than we intended. We are going to close off the rate on September 15, and then close bookings entirely on September 25. If you are yet to book and are keen to do so, please get cracking!
