Week 10 Term 2 Assembly
Today we came together for our final assembly of Term 2, celebrating the many students who have demonstrated our Manunda Values and worked hard throughout the term.
A special congratulations to our recipients of the Brian O'Gallagher All Rounder Awards, recognising students who have demonstrated both academic growth and a consistent commitment to our school values. Thank you to Brian O'Gallagher for supporting this important recognition of student achievement.
We also celebrated our students who have reached Positive Referral Milestones, along with our Value Award and Merit Award recipients. It was wonderful to see so many students recognised for their effort, positive choices, perseverance and contribution to our school community.
Congratulations to all award recipients. We are incredibly proud of the way our students continue to demonstrate the Manunda Values each and every day.
We wish all students, families and staff a safe and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday, 14 July

The Manunda 2026 Twilight Sports Carnival
What a fantastic way to finish Sports Week!
On Thursday afternoon, students, families and staff gathered for our annual Twilight Sports Carnival. The oval was filled with excitement as students proudly represented their house colours, competed in track events and cheered on their teammates.
The carnival was a wonderful celebration of participation, perseverance and school spirit. Whether students were racing, supporting their peers or joining in the fun, it was fantastic to see everyone contributing to such a positive and energetic atmosphere.
A huge thank you to our families for joining us and helping create a vibrant community event. We also extend our appreciation to all staff who worked behind the scenes to organise and run the carnival.
A special congratulations to all of our 2026 Age Champions, whose consistent effort across the week earned them this well-deserved recognition. Congratulations also to all students for their efforts throughout Sports Week, and a special congratulations to Tulagi, who were crowned the 2026 Sports Week Champions!
Well done to Peary, Tulagi and Neptuna for the enthusiasm, sportsmanship and house pride shown throughout the week. We are incredibly proud of the way our students encouraged one another, celebrated success and represented their houses with respect and determination.
Sports Week is always a highlight of the school year, and this year's event was a wonderful reminder of the strength, pride and community spirit that makes Manunda Terrace Primary School so special.

Sports Week - Field Events and Tabloids
Our Sports Week celebrations began on Wednesday with our field events, where students showcased their skills in events such as high jump, long jump, shot put and discus. Students gave their best effort while earning valuable points for their houses and demonstrating excellent sportsmanship throughout the day.
On Thursday morning, students took part in a variety of tabloid activities. These fun and engaging challenges provided opportunities for teamwork, encouragement and plenty of smiles as students worked together to support their house teams.
It has been wonderful to see students embracing the spirit of Sports Week, encouraging one another and proudly representing Peary, Tulagi and Neptuna.
A big thank you to our staff for their organisation and support in making these events such a success.
