WHAT CAN THE BEACH TEACH US?

Our Preschool students enjoyed their final Beach Preschool for the year before the season begins to change.

It has been a wonderful opportunity to explore, investigate and learn from our local environment throughout the dry season.

ARE YOU AIMING FOR 5 DAYS OUT OF 5 EACH WEEK?

This morning we celebrated students who have achieved 90% attendance or higher so far this year, with a lucky draw for AFL passes generously provided by the NT Education and Training's School Engagement Team and Jinson Anto Charls MLA. We had over 145 names in the draw.

Our school attendance goal is 92% and every day at school helps us get there. Together, let’s aim for 5 days out of 5 each week!

WHAT’S ON AT WAGAMAN THIS WEEK?

It’s Book Week! Join us for Early Years Bedtime Stories in the Library on Wednesday evening, then on Friday we’ll celebrate with our Book Week Parade. Come dressed as your favourite book character!

To finish off a big week, join us on Saturday evening for a community movie night on our school oval, proudly sponsored by Jinson Anto Charls MLA. We’ll have a sausage sizzle and drinks available to purchase before the movie until sold out.

We look forward to a great week of books, characters and community at Wagaman!

HOW AMAZING DOES OUR SCHOOL BAND SOUND?

Our talented school band performed at assembly today and this year we are excited to have a vocalist joining the group, who sounds amazing! It was wonderful to see our students confidently sharing their musical talents. A big thank you to Mr Brian from the Northern Territory Music School for his hard work and commitment in preparing our students.

WHAT HAVE OUR 5.6 STUDENTS BEEN LEARNING ABOUT IN WRITING?

Today, 5.6 Vavlas hosted our assembly and showcased the learning they have been doing in Writing.

As part of Talk for Writing, students have been learning how to write information reports and shared their report on Rhiswanzebtah with our school community.

A great opportunity to share their learning and build confidence as writers and presenters.

HOW DOES MUSIC BRING US TOGETHER?

Today our Year 5/6 choir students joined students from other schools for a BEAT Festival rehearsal!

The rehearsal gave students the opportunity to come together, practise their performances and experience the excitement of being part of the 2026 BEAT Festival.

We can't wait to see all of their hard work come together when they take to the stage at the AANT Centre on Wednesday 2 September! 🎶✨
