THIS is why - we MUST do better. I have developed adequate tracking tools that simply and easily track what you're feeling and when which can be easily read and analysed by health professionals that will prove to them:
- It is NOT just bad period pain
- It is NOT depression, stress or anxiety
- It is NOT normal!
All AFAB individuals deserve to be treated with care and dignity. One day down the line my hopes are that this data can be collected for research purposes to gain better understanding and insight in to how menstrual health conditions present and how they impact lives, leading to much faster diagnosis times from onset of symptoms and better management options.

Why we choose to call the day 'menstrual health day' and not 'menstrual hygiene day'...
Let’s help fight menstrual stigma and celebrate being physically and mentally healthy during our menstrual cycles by broadening the narrative around menstruation. We want to see World Menstrual Hygiene Day become World Menstrual Health Day.
The word 'hygiene' can often have a negative connotation attached to it and to help destigmatise the issue we believe it should be called Menstrual Health Day -head here to sign the petition to change it!

If you are someone aged 18+ years with a formal diagnosis of PMDD who experiences a regular symptom pattern of symptoms (unaffected by birth control, menopause/perimenopause, or pregnancy), you are invited to take part in this study by a researcher at The University of Bristol. This is an international study.
This research aims to shed light on self-efficacy among people with PMDD. Self-efficacy is defined as one’s beliefs in their capabilities to achieve goals and complete tasks. To date, there is little research as to how PMDD relates to self-efficacy. Participants will be invited to complete an online 10-minute survey.

I am absolutely gutted to discover that I missed an email (after 18 days in hospital so I do need to cut myself a little slack but it still hits hard) inviting me to an exclusive event at Government House which took place last Friday 😫😫😫

Endometriosis/Adenomyosis awareness post - Bloating
My tummy has been flat the entire week since being in hospital. Within the space of 20 minutes this morning after eating breakfast, this is now my stomach. EXTREMELY bloated, painful and tight. If I were to run in to someone I haven’t seen in a while they would either give me the look or straight out ask if I was pregnant.
These conditions not only effect women physically, the psychological impacts can be equally if not more so devastating. So much more needs to be done to reduce the massive gap between onset of symptoms and diagnosis by a health professional, no one should have to suffer this for decades.
Can’t wait till I’m through these woods so I can get More 2 Menstruation up and running in full to bridge these gaps and empower every menstruating individual with the language, knowledge and tools to advocate for themselves through a health system that is pitted against them.
