Last Thursday we offered a quick breakfast to make their morning a little easier and was enjoyed by some of our families.

🌿 Nature Treasures in Playdough: Our Little Artists at Work! 🍃✨
There is something truly magical about connecting with nature through hands-on, messy play! This week, our babies dived into a beautiful sensory exploration, combining soft playdough with textures from the natural world. 🌍👐

With "Nature Treasures" scattered in a tray of soft flour—including woody pinecones, delicate native leaves, and smooth rocks—the children were invited to create their own tactile masterpieces!

The preschoolers had a very special, extra-tall visitor in our room this week—the one and only Healthy Harold! 🎉

For the past few weeks, our curious Preschoolers have been diving deep into an intentional learning project all about "Our Amazing Bodies." We have been exploring anatomy, tracing silhouettes, and discovering how our incredible bodies move, stretch, and grow every single day! 🏃‍♂️🧠🎨

Healthy Harold and his lovely team came along to extend this learning beautifully. Together, we explored:

The Magic of Movement: Getting up on our feet to practice how we can look after our physical health through active play.

Understanding Our Feelings: Exploring our emotional wellbeing by identifying different expressions and discussing how our bodies feel when we experience big emotions like happiness, excitement, or anger. 🎭❤️

Caring for Ourselves: Unpacking simple, healthy habits that keep our minds and bodies full of energy and light!

Seeing the children recognize emotions, match feelings cards, and enthusiastically join in with Harold’s puppet stories was an absolute joy. A massive thank you to Life Ed for partnering with us to make health, safety, and emotional autonomy so much fun for our oldest young learners!

Our Kindy Explorers had a great experience visiting the Museum this morning. Children spotted the large crocodile 🐊 "Sweetheart " they all pressed the button to listen to the noise crocodiles make, looked through some history of Darwin, sea creatures and of course we ended the morning with taking a stroll to see the sailing boats out on the water.

Our Kindy explorers had a blast at the Botanic Gardens! 🌿🧺

What a way to spend the day! ☀️ We took a big trip to the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens for a picnic adventure. We learned so much about the natural world! 🦋🐊

Our dedicated educators helped the children build a beautiful connection with nature through nature walks, and a lovely picnic in the park. 🤝💕

It was a perfect Darwin day of creativity, discovery, and secure attachments outside the center.

☀️ Splish, splash! Our kindy adventurers have been diving into some wonderful sensory play today! 🐳🍃

The children had a fantastic time exploring our outdoor water tray, using pipettes and cups to drop water over our aquatic animals. Surrounded by natural leaves, bubbles, and green water, they practiced their fine motor skills while exploring different textures and sharing tools beautifully with their friends.

It’s amazing to see how much learning happens through a simple splash of water and a lot of imagination! 🦖💧

Our children had an absolute blast taking our center bus on an adventure to the museum today!
