🐞🌿 Our Preschool Minibeast Inquiry Continues! 🌿🐞

Our preschoolers have been busy exploring the fascinating world of minibeasts, building beautifully on their learning from our nature inquiry project.

Through a variety of hands-on experiences, children have been:
✨ Observing real insect specimens with curiosity and care
🎨 Exploring symmetry through creative butterfly painting
🐛 Using playdough to design and sculpt their own insects
📚 Engaging with stories and discovering fun facts about minibeasts

These experiences are helping our children develop curiosity, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the natural world around them. We love seeing their excitement as they discover just how amazing these tiny creatures can be! 🌎💚

At Milestones Early Learning Wagaman, we value the importance of family and belonging. Today, our children had the opportunity to visit their siblings in different rooms, creating meaningful moments of connection and comfort.

These visits support children’s sense of identity and belonging, helping them maintain strong family bonds throughout the day. It was wonderful to see the smiles, cuddles, conversations, and excitement shared between siblings as they spent time together.

By nurturing these relationships, we help children feel safe, secure, and connected within our learning community, reinforcing that family is an important part of who they are.

🧱✨ Building, Creating and Learning Together ✨🧱

Our children enjoyed exploring construction with wooden gem blocks, working together to build towers, pathways, and imaginative creations.

As they carefully balanced and arranged the blocks, they developed problem-solving skills, spatial awareness, and creativity.

The children shared ideas, collaborated with their peers, and discovered how the colourful gems sparkled in the sunlight, adding an extra element of wonder to their play.

Through hands-on learning experiences like this, children are encouraged to think critically, experiment, and work together while having fun.

🦊🐾 Burrow Digging Sensory Play 🐾🦊

The children enjoyed exploring our burrow digging sensory tray filled with soil, flour, cardboard tubes, and toy animals. They eagerly dug, scooped, and created tunnels and burrows for the animals to hide in.

Through this hands-on experience, children explored early STEM concepts such as problem-solving, engineering, and cause and effect while developing their imagination and sensory awareness.

A wonderful learning experience full of creativity, discovery, and fun!

🚤 Water Play with Paper Boats 🚤

The babies enjoyed exploring paper boats during water play, watching them float across the water and discovering how movement and water interact. Through pouring, splashing, and observing, the children were introduced to early STEM concepts such as cause and effect, problem-solving, and exploration.

A fun, hands-on learning experience that encouraged curiosity and discovery through play.
