πŸ›πŸ“ The fun continued with our Hungry Caterpillar adventure! 🍎✨

The children explored an icy fruit sensory tray, scooping, pouring and discovering different textures as they brought the story to life.

They also enjoyed our β€œFeed the Caterpillar” rice sensory tray, using the fruits from the story to feed the hungry caterpillar while building their fine motor skills.

β€œThe caterpillar is hungry!” shared one of our little learners. πŸ’š

🌈🐠 Who loves a colourful sensory adventure?

After reading The Rainbow Fish, our children explored colourful ice, sparkling diamonds, blue playdough and rainbow fish creations!

β€œWow, I love ice!” one child excitedly shared, while another proudly said, β€œLook at my diamonds!”

πŸŒΏπŸ¦€ Story Time Adventure: Joshua and the Two Crabs πŸ¦€πŸŒΏ

Today, the children enjoyed reading Joshua and the Two Crabs, a story about searching for crabs in the mangroves and sharing a campfire at the beach. The story sparked lots of conversations as children shared their own experiences.

πŸ’¬ "I found crabs at the beach!"
πŸ’¬ "I went camping with my family."
πŸ’¬ "The crabs run really fast!"

Inspired by the story, the children created beautiful crab handprint paintings using red paint and added blue paint to represent the ocean. They also enjoyed independent book reading under the tree.

The peaceful outdoor setting provided a calm and relaxing space where children could enjoy looking through books at their own pace and enjoyed the opportunity to revisit stories and engage in independent literacy experiences.

A wonderful day of literacy, creativity, and learning through play! πŸŒΏπŸŽ¨πŸ“–βœ¨

πŸ”¬ Science Week Adventures at Milestones Early Learning Wagaman!

Our little scientists had an exciting week exploring chemical reactions and volcano eruptions!

🎈 Using vinegar and baking soda, the children watched in amazement as a balloon slowly inflated.

πŸ’¬ "It's getting bigger!" πŸ’¬ "Wow, the balloon is blowing up!"

πŸŒ‹ In the sandpit, children worked together to build volcanoes before adding baking soda, vinegar, and food colouring to create colourful eruptions.

πŸ’¬ "My volcano is exploding!" πŸ’¬ "Look at the lava!" πŸ’¬ "It's like a real volcano!"

Through hands-on experiments, the children explored science, problem-solving, and the joy of discovery.

✨ Science is all around us, and our young learners are loving every moment of investigating, experimenting, and asking questions!
