πΏπ¦ Story Time Adventure: Joshua and the Two Crabs π¦πΏ
Today, the children enjoyed reading Joshua and the Two Crabs, a story about searching for crabs in the mangroves and sharing a campfire at the beach. The story sparked lots of conversations as children shared their own experiences.
π¬ "I found crabs at the beach!"
π¬ "I went camping with my family."
π¬ "The crabs run really fast!"
Inspired by the story, the children created beautiful crab handprint paintings using red paint and added blue paint to represent the ocean. They also enjoyed independent book reading under the tree.
The peaceful outdoor setting provided a calm and relaxing space where children could enjoy looking through books at their own pace and enjoyed the opportunity to revisit stories and engage in independent literacy experiences.
A wonderful day of literacy, creativity, and learning through play! πΏπ¨πβ¨

π Using vinegar and baking soda, the children watched in amazement as a balloon slowly inflated.
π¬ "It's getting bigger!" π¬ "Wow, the balloon is blowing up!"
π In the sandpit, children worked together to build volcanoes before adding baking soda, vinegar, and food colouring to create colourful eruptions.
π¬ "My volcano is exploding!" π¬ "Look at the lava!" π¬ "It's like a real volcano!"
Through hands-on experiments, the children explored science, problem-solving, and the joy of discovery.
β¨ Science is all around us, and our young learners are loving every moment of investigating, experimenting, and asking questions!
