As part of the Apprenticeships Northern Territory team, Jayla developed valuable skills in communication, administration, organisation and time management throughout her traineeship. She also gained confidence working with others and a greater understanding of how a workplace operates.

Smashing goals Tanaya!! 💥

Congratulations to Tanaya Hastings who recently her Certificate III in Business with the Institute of Skills and Training Australia as part of the Territory Aboriginal Apprenticeship Program! 🥳

Employed by Anindilyakwa Housing Aboriginal Corporation (AHAC) on Groote Eylandt, Tanaya has consistently impressed her supervisors with her reliability, professionalism and positive attitude.

Throughout her traineeship, she became an integral part of the administration team, supporting onboarding processes, coordinating uniforms and inductions, and helping ensure day-to-day operations ran smoothly.

During one of our monthly mentoring catch-ups, her supervisor, Liz, described Tanaya as the "backbone" of the administration team, recognising her dedication, initiative and the confidence she brings to the workplace.

Congratulations to Hannah Sheehy, who recently completed her Certificate IV in Business with Kalano Community Association Inc in Katherine. 🥳

Hannah is continuing her studies and has now commenced her Diploma of Business through the Institute of Skills and Training Australia.

Since joining the organisation in 2020, Hannah has worked her way into the role of HR Manager. She hopes to set an example for her colleagues and community members by showing that anything is possible and that taking every opportunity to upskill is always worthwhile.

Last week our team members, Dakota Hotham and Nyomi Green, attended Darwin Fusion 2026, presented by the City of Darwin. 👏

Dakota was part of the panel discussion, 'Skills for Growth: Education Partnerships Across Sister and Friendship Cities', alongside Ms Alana Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of Alana Kaye College - RTO 70056, and Dr Nathan Franklin, Associate Vice-Chancellor Indonesia at Charles Darwin University.

The discussion explored how international education partnerships can help develop future-ready skills, strengthen industry-aligned training, support student mobility, and foster meaningful collaboration between regions.

As a registered training organisation delivering education both locally and internationally, we're excited by the opportunities for the Northern Territory to strengthen its international education partnerships, particularly across our neighbouring regions.

What an honour! 🎉 We’re absolutely stoked to be finalists in this year’s NT Training Awards alongside Airport Development Group, recognising the strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to creating meaningful training and employment opportunities across the Northern Territory.

Congratulations Paris!

Congratulations to Paris Takkos, hosted to Power and Water, who recently completed his Certificate III in Business through Institute of Skills and Training Australia. 👏🏼

He has now commenced his Certificate IV in Project Management through Charles Darwin University.

As part of the Facilities team, Paris plays a key role in a wide range of projects. From creating site floor plans and updating safety documentation to coordinating building works and contributing to office redesign projects, he has become the go-to person for floor plans and mapping across Power and Water. 🗺

We're excited to see Paris take on this next challenge. Watch this space! 😎
