Rules of Engagement

In joining our community on Facebook, Lakelands Public School follows both the DEC Code of Conduct and Facebook terms and conditions. Students

Please note that the Facebook terms and conditions state that no one under the age of 13 years should have a Facebook profile. Therefore, any primary students who 'Like' or comment on the Lakelands Public School page will be d

eleted and reported immediately. Comments Policy

Lakelands Public School welcomes comments and questions regarding status updates, however we cannot be held responsible for comments made by visitors. All efforts will be taken to delete offensive and/ or inappropriate comments as quickly as possible. Lakelands Public School Administrators request that all comments and questions remain respectful of other users. This is NOT the forum to discredit community members, students or staff. Users who are deemed by the Administrators to not be extending this respect will be removed from the page and comments will be deleted. Comments are also subject to Facebook's Terms of Use and Code of Conduct. Please remember that the purpose of this page is to communicate events, information and updates to our current Lakelands Public School families. We will not tolerate comments which are racist, sexist, abusive, profane, violent, obscene, hateful, endorsing illegal activity, politically motivated or promoting a business. Comments deemed to breech these guidelines will be removed. We look forward to working with you to create a useful and worthwhile resource in the hopes of keeping users informed. Please note that the Department of Education and Communities has this advice for teachers 'Friending' parents on Facebook:

"The line between your professional and personal life could become blurred making it difficult to manage your professional relationship with the parents when that becomes necessary. You also need to bear in mind that becoming a Facebook friend with a parent could result in their children getting access to your account as well. You also need to be mindful that you need to be careful what you say on Facebook if you have parents as friends as comments made online can be misunderstood and could result in parental complaints made to your principal." With this in mind, the staff of Lakelands Public School ask that you do not request their friendship on their personal pages. We thank you for your understanding on this matter.

Our girls soccer team played Keiraville today in the third round of the PSSA knockout competition. Unfortunately, we came away with a 1-0 loss but the girls should be very proud of themselves. They played their hearts out and never gave up. Great work girls!

🩵 Blue for Blake Day 🩵

Have you got your blue outfits ready? Don’t forget, tomorrow is Blue for Blake Day! Come dressed in as much blue as possible and don’t forget your gold coin donation. All money raised will go directly to Ronald McDonald House to help support families with sick children in hospital.

This week, we welcome back our former student, Lily. Lily is crushing the HSC at Dapto HS this year and is thinking about being a teacher. She is spending the week in KM, back where her learning journey began!

We know she will make an incredible teacher, if that is the path she goes down!
