Australia's 2026 NAPLAN results were released yesterday, highliting an important issue for students, families, and schools.

NAPLAN is Australia's national assessment of literacy and numeracy for students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9. Around 10% of students are significantly behind their peers and require additional support to catch up.

As Professor Tanya Serry from La Trobe University explains, 'Literacy can be considered a gateway to academic success and then to a range of life opportunities.'

If you have questions about your child's NAPLAN results, start by speaking with their teachers. They can explain what the results mean and discuss strategies to support your child's learning.

داستانی الهام‌بخش از جان، معلم خصوصی مضمون انگلیسی ( English subject) در واتل پاتویز!

جان به سه دانش‌آموز سال دوازدهم که همگی در یک مکتب در ایالت ویکتوریا تحصیل می‌کنند، مضمون انگلیسی تدریس می‌کند. او که معلم بازنشسته زبان انگلیسی است، با سخاوت تمام، تمام دستمزد هفتگی خود از Wattle Pathways را برای حمایت از آموزش دختران در افغانستان که خودش برای چندین سال به صورت آنلاین آنها را تدریس می کنند اهدا می‌کند.

ما به‌عنوان یک نهاد اجتماعی-آموزشی که متعهد است ۵۰ درصد از سود سالانه خود را برای حمایت از شاگردان محروم در استرالیا ــ از جمله شاگردان مهاجر و شاگردان دارای معلولیت ــ اختصاص دهد، به سخاوت جان و نقش ارزشمند او در رشد و توسعه نهادمان افتخار می‌کنیم.

همچنین صمیمانه از این سه شاگرد و خانواده‌هایشان سپاسگزاریم که Wattle Pathways را برای آموزش مضمون انگلیسی فرزندانشان انتخاب کرده‌اند. حمایت آن‌ها نه‌تنها به موفقیت تحصیلی فرزندان خودشان کمک می‌کند، بلکه فرصت‌های آموزشی ارزشمندی را برای شاگردانی فراهم می‌سازد که با موانع جدی در مسیر آموزش روبه‌رو هستند.

An inspiring story from Jon, our Year 12 English tutor!

Jon tutors three Year 12 English students who all attend the same school in Victoria. A retired English teacher, he generously donates his entire weekly salary from Wattle Pathways to maintain and support girls' education in Afghanistan.

As a social enterprise committed to donating 50% of our annual profits to support disadvantaged students in Australia—including refugee students and students with disability—we're incredibly proud of Jon's generosity and his contribution to our growing organisation.

We're also deeply grateful to the three students and their families who have chosen Wattle Pathways for their English tutoring. Their support not only helps their own children succeed but also creates opportunities for students who face significant barriers to education.
