What a fantastic performance from our small but determined team of 16 at the National Karate Championships.

🥇 1 Gold 🥈 5 Silver 🥉 5 Bronze

Every one of you stepped onto the tatami with courage, determination, and heart. We couldn’t be prouder of the way you represented yourselves, your families, and Australian Shukokai Karate.

Congratulations to all of our medal winners on your outstanding achievements. To every athlete, wins come and go, but progress stays with you. Some days you earn the result, and other days you earn the lesson. Both are valuable, and both are an essential part of growing

Now it’s time to get back to the dojo, continue learning, keep improving, and prepare for the next challenge.

A special congratulations to;

* Kevin Turner on successfully attaining National Kata Judge B accreditation.

And our athletes;

* Shaenyce Theodore on qualifying for the WKF Cadet Junior and U21 World Championships in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, in October 2026.

* Daniel Tielen on qualifying for the Australian Senior Men’s Team that will compete at the Karate World Cup in Hangzhou, China, in November 2026.

This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to your dedication, perseverance, and hard work. We are all incredibly proud of you both and can’t wait to see you represent Australia on the world stage.

Well done, everyone. The journey continues. 👊🖤💛
