We’re celebrating World Teachers’ Day in Victoria on 27th October! It is a great opportunity to celebrate the teachers at who are making, or have made, an impact on students’ lives.

Earlier this month, students from Lyndale Greens Primary School were awarded with great prizes for placing first in our Get Active Get Moving in March competition.

Students were presented with their awards by Mayor, Cr Eden Foster and Deputy Mayor, Cr Lana Formoso (pictured).

Second prize went to Keysborough Gardens Primary School with third prize going to St Elizabeth’s Primary School.

The Get Active Get Moving campaign was developed in consultation with the students from the Children’s Advisory Group and the Children’s Forum in 2022.

During the month of March, primary aged students were encouraged to walk, ride or scoot to and from school. Eleven local schools participated, with a total of 3612 students getting active throughout the month.
