Our Year 9 students recently welcomed Inspired by You (IBY) to school for an engaging session on career planning. Through interactive activities and honest conversations, students had the chance to explore their strengths, interests, and values, helping them figure out what they're truly suited to as they start thinking seriously about their futures.

Our International Students enjoyed a mid-year excursion to the Melbourne Aquarium.

Students explored the aquarium’s many exhibits and took part in interactive activities learning about marine ecosystems, sustainability and careers relating to marine life. After exploring the aquarium, students enjoyed a walk to Southbank and a relaxing lunch together before catching the train back to school.

It was a great opportunity to spend time together outside of the school environment, build connections and feel more involved in school life.

Our Certificate II VET Cookery students have been busy completing their service period, treating our staff to a selection of delicious, freshly prepared meals.

Today's menu featured chicken vol-au-vent with steamed rice, chicken and leek pie, and fish velouté pie. Great work to our talented aspiring chefs!

As part of a local community initiative, the Lyndale Interact Club recently visited Regis Aged Care in North Dandenong, spending an afternoon with residents.

For both the students and residents, it was an experience to remember:

"When we first arrived at Regis, I felt nervous about what to expect, but that soon changed when I saw how much their faces lit up when we talked to them. This experience made me more aware that sometimes all a person needs is someone to talk to. Seeing the residents happy made the visit feel worthwhile and reminded me how important it is to connect with people from different generations."
— Olivia, Year 9

"Visiting the aged care centre was a truly meaningful and emotional experience. I had the opportunity to speak with one resident in my mother tongue, Tamil, which made our conversation especially personal and comforting. Listening to the residents share their life stories reminded me how much companionship and a simple conversation can brighten someone's day. It was heartwarming to see that even a short one-hour visit could make such a positive difference, and the experience left me feeling grateful and inspired."
— Vigashni, Year 9

We're so proud of our Interact members for showing up with open hearts.

Our talented dancers, who are proudly representing Lyndale in the 2026 Victorian State Schools Spectacular This Is Me, headed out for a rehearsal this week.

It's been wonderful watching our students grow in confidence as they prepare for this opportunity, working alongside industry professionals and students from across the state ahead of the big show at John Cain Arena on Saturday 29 August.

We're so proud of the dedication and hard work they've shown throughout this journey!

We're proud to have held our Interact Club induction ceremony, in partnership with the Rotary International Club of Greater Dandenong and Endeavour Hills! Interact Clubs commit to at least two projects annually: one benefiting their school or community, and one fostering international understanding. We can't wait to see what this year's members achieve.

Our Year 7 Instrumental Music students recently took to the stage to perform the pieces they've been learning this year through our Instrumental Music program, delivered by iROCK MUSIC SCHOOL.

Performing in front of their peers was a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, develop their stage presence, and celebrate the progress they've made so far. Well done to all of our students!

We recently welcomed back alumna Jennifer Coate (Class of 1970) to Lyndale, where she spoke with our Year 7 students about her career as a jurist and judge, and recorded a podcast episode with our College Captain, Liv H.

Jennifer spoke candidly about her remarkable journey, from studying law at a time when Victoria had no women magistrates, to becoming the first woman President of the Children's Court of Victoria, and the obstacles she overcame along the way.

We can't wait to reconnect and highlight more alumni through the podcast. If you know someone who would make a great guest on an upcoming episode, we’d love to hear from you!
