🌟 BBC STEM at Curtin University! 🌟

Congratulations to Esha Geo and Vyga Anoop, who proudly represented Bunbury Baptist College’s STEM Program at the DPIRD Innovation Challenge at Curtin University on Sunday, 16 August.

Presenting alongside around 50 teams, they showcased HerdGuard, their innovative smart livestock monitoring concept.

We are so proud of their creativity, confidence and teamwork! 👏 A big thank you to their parents for their wonderful support. 💙

Join us for a Learning Journey celebrating our Primary school's engagement with Australian history and iconic culture.

Throughout the event, we’ll explore what makes Australia unique, with opportunities to learn, connect, discover and celebrate together.

And after you journey through the site, enjoy live music from the wonderful Mucky Duck Bush Band, playing from 5–7pm! and food from the PGG!

👷‍♀️ Connecting Students to Trades: Celebrating Our Award-Winning Industry Partnerships! 🤝🏆

We are honoured to be recognised for our unwavering commitment to the success of every student, winning the 2026 Samios Plumbing Supplies Secondary School Construction Engagement Award at the Skill Hire Gala Awards last weekend.

Through strong industry partnerships, proactive communication and a genuine willingness to go the extra mile, our VET/Careers team create pathways that help build confidence, develop skills and allow students to achieve their career goals. Our approach is not just about education. It is about creating opportunities, supporting aspirations and shaping futures.

Esther Chamasowa received an Honourable Mention in her category for balancing her VET training, work placement and Year 12 studies with exceptional dedication. Her strong work ethic, commitment to safety and positive attitude earned the respect of her trainers and peers, as well as multiple employment referrals. Esther's host employer, Anbuild Building Services were also a finalist in the Pre-Apprentice Host Employer category and we were privileged to celebrate with Rob and Trevor on the night.

We would like to sincerely thank Samios Plumbing Supplies for sponsoring the award and Justine Wright, Tiana Shepherd and the entire team at Skill Hire, Bunbury for the nomination and providing an invaluable service and opportunity for students in our region. We look forward to continuing to grow our partnerships with Skill Hire and other local trainers, employers and support organisations in the Southwest region.

We are so excited to host the Watoto Children’s Choir this evening at the Dalyellup Community Hall.
