Prep & Year 9A Picnic and Prayer Celebration
This afternoon, our Prep students enjoyed a wonderful time of faith, friendship and fun as part of their **Picnic and Prayer** activity with our Year 9A students.
Held on our Senior Years Oval, the session focused on the importance of kindness and friendship, with students participating in prayer, sharing a story, enjoying a guided meditation, and taking part in a range of fun games and activities. The afternoon was topped off with some delicious picnic snacks thoughtfully prepared and shared by our Year 9 students.
It was fantastic to see our senior students embracing their role as leaders and role models, creating such a positive and welcoming experience for our youngest learners. Activities such as these provide valuable opportunities for students to build connections across year levels and strengthen our college community.
There is something truly special about watching students who are progressing through the senior years of their OLSCC journey spending time with those who have only just begun their journey of faith, learning and discovery. The kindness, patience and encouragement shown by our Year 9A students today reflected the values that make our college such a special place.
A big thank you to Year 9A for their outstanding efforts in planning and running the afternoon. We are sure the Prep students will be talking about their Picnic and Prayer experience for some time to come. It was a wonderful example of our college community in action, with students of different ages coming together to learn, pray, play and grow in friendship.
