🧦 Creating Conversations: Odd Socks Project 💚
This year Inspiring Little Minds Family Daycare was proud to take part in Dalby Welcoming Community Inc.’s Odd Socks: Creating Conversations Project, helping raise awareness about mental health and the importance of checking in and supporting those around us.
Our sock design represents the children and families Inspiring Little Minds FDC is privileged to care for within the Dalby community and our belief that wellbeing and social emotional development begins in the early years.
We chose a variety of bright shapes, colours and glitters to represent the uniqueness of every individual. Just as no two shapes are exactly the same, every child has their own personality, strengths and individual needs.
The different colours and shapes coming together represent connection, belonging and community. Reminding us that although we are all different, everyone has a place and deserves to feel valued, supported and heard.
The glitter represents the little things that can help someone shine: kindness, connection, encouragement, laughter and knowing that someone cares.
Throughout our everyday interactions, Inspiring Little Minds nurtures children’s social and emotional wellbeing by creating a safe, supportive environment where children can express their feelings, build relationships, develop resilience and learn to care for themselves and others helping build skills for later life.
