Prep Red truly embraced the spirit of Book Week with their fantastic costumes for this year's Symphony of Stories parade!

From beloved storybook characters to creative and colourful designs, every student looked amazing as they proudly showcased their favourite books. Their excitement, confidence, and enthusiasm brought the stories to life and filled the St Edward Centre with joy and imagination.

We are so proud of the effort our Prep Red students and their families put into creating such wonderful costumes. What a magical way to celebrate the joy of reading, creativity, and the power of storytelling! 📚✨🎶❤️

📚✨ Book Week Parade 2026 – Symphony of Stories ✨📚

What a wonderful celebration of reading, imagination, and creativity our Book Week Parade was! Our students looked absolutely amazing in their costumes, bringing a fantastic array of beloved book characters to life. From classic storybook favourites to creative and unique interpretations, the effort and enthusiasm shown by our students and families made the parade a truly memorable event.

The smiles, excitement, and pride on display perfectly captured the joy that books and storytelling bring to our school community. It was wonderful to see our theme, "Symphony of Stories," come alive through such colourful and imaginative costumes.

A very special thank you to our wonderful librarian, Mrs Day, for organising such a fantastic parade and for all the work she does to inspire a love of reading in our students. Your dedication and enthusiasm helped make this year's Book Week celebration such a tremendous success.

🎶📚 Book Week 2026 is Almost Here! 📚🎶

We are so excited to celebrate Book Week at St Edward's with this year's wonderful theme, "Symphony of Stories"! 🎼📖

We look forward to seeing all of our students dressed in their creative costumes for our Book Week Parade, which will be held at 9:00am on Friday in the St Edward's Centre. We can't wait to see the imagination, colour and creativity that our students bring to life as we celebrate the magic of books and storytelling together. ✨🎭

A very special thank you to Mrs Victorsen for her incredible Book Week display in the library. 💙📚 Her amazing work has transformed the space into a beautiful celebration of stories and reading, helping to inspire a love of books in all who visit.

Our Year 3-6 students enjoyed an inspiring visit from acclaimed Australian author and illustrator Jonathan Bentley as part of our Book Week celebrations.

Jonathan shared his love of storytelling and illustration, giving students a fascinating insight into the creative process behind books. His visit encouraged our students to imagine, create, and embrace the joy of reading and writing.

📚🎶 Book Week 2026: A Symphony of Stories! 🎶📚

We are excited to welcome acclaimed Australian author and illustrator Jonathan Bentley to St Edward's as part of our Book Week 2026 celebrations!

Jonathan will be sharing his love of storytelling, creativity and illustration with our Year 3–6 students, inspiring them to discover the magic that can be found within the pages of a book. From creating memorable characters to bringing stories to life through artwork, students will gain a fascinating insight into the world of books and the creative process behind them.

This year's Book Week theme, "A Symphony of Stories", celebrates the way stories come together to create a rich and vibrant world of imagination, adventure and learning. We can't wait for our students to be inspired by Jonathan's visit and to continue their own reading and writing journeys.

🏆 Maths on the Hill Squad (MoTHS) recognised at BCE Excellence Awards 🏆

On Friday night, the Maths on the Hill Squad (MoTHS) was honoured with a Commendation Award at the Brisbane Catholic Education Excellence Awards. This recognition celebrates the team's dedication, innovation, and commitment to fostering excellence in mathematics education.

We were proud to have our Senior Leader, Chris Thomas, in attendance to congratulate the team on this outstanding achievement.
