🐷🐑🚜 Old MacDonald’s Farm Comes to Prep! 🐰🐥🐐

What a wonderful day for our Prep students as Old MacDonald’s Farm came to visit! 🌟

There were plenty of smiles, excitement, and hands-on learning as our students enjoyed meeting and patting a variety of friendly farm animals. From fluffy rabbits and cheeky goats to cuddly guinea pigs and adorable chicks, the experience brought lots of joy and curiosity to our little learners. 🐇🐐🐥

This special visit provided a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about animals, their care, and life on the farm, all while creating memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️

A big thank you to Old MacDonald’s Farm for sharing such an engaging and educational experience with our Prep students. We loved every minute of it! 🐷🐑🚜

A Special Visit to the Father's Day Stall

Yesterday was filled with excitement and big smiles as our Prep students eagerly visited the Father's Day Stall to choose a special gift for their dads and special father figures.

With great care and thoughtfulness, the children browsed the wonderful selection of gifts, taking their important job very seriously. There was plenty of excitement as they made their choices, carefully considering what their dads, grandfathers, pops, uncles, or other special people in their lives might like best.

The room was buzzing with excitement as students proudly carried their treasures to the counter, eager to surprise their loved ones on Father's Day. Seeing the joy on their faces as they selected the perfect gift was truly heartwarming.

Our Prep students demonstrated kindness, independence, and generosity as they prepared to celebrate the special people who support, encourage, and care for them every day.

A big thank you to our wonderful volunteers who helped make the Father's Day Stall such a special experience for our students. We hope all our dads and special father figures enjoy their surprise gifts this Father's Day! 💙🎁👔

💙 A Wonderful Father's Day Celebration in Prep 💙

What a special afternoon our Prep students enjoyed as they welcomed their dads and special father figures to school for a Father's Day celebration.

It was wonderful to see so many fathers, grandfathers, uncles and special friends join us, sharing precious time with our students and creating lasting memories together. The smiles, laughter and excitement on the children's faces were a beautiful reminder of the important role these special people play in their lives.

Thank you to all our special guests who took the time to attend and make the afternoon so meaningful. We hope you enjoyed celebrating alongside your Prep child as much as they enjoyed having you here.

Japanese - Year 6 Students Experience the Art of Taiko

In week 6, our Year 6 students had a wonderful opportunity to experience the traditional Japanese art of Taiko drumming through an exciting performance and hands-on workshop.

The session began with an energetic Taiko performance by two Japanese instructors, giving students a chance to experience the powerful sounds and rhythms of the drums.

Following the performance, students took part in an engaging workshop where the instructors introduced them to the history and cultural significance of Taiko. They were also taught different rhythms, drumming techniques, and how to hold the drumsticks correctly. The instructors patiently guided the students through each step, allowing everyone to have a go and practise their new skills.

It was a fun and memorable experience that gave our Year 6 students a wonderful insight into Japanese culture, music and tradition.

What does an MP actually do in Parliament all day? I stopped by St Edward's Primary School to answer that question, and a few others, ahead of the students' upcoming visit to Parliament House.

It was great to see a bunch of curious young minds and field some excellent questions, some tougher than those at Question Time!

💙 Father's Day Celebrations 💙

Our Year 2 students hosted a special Liturgy yesterday to honour our fathers and the special people in our lives. It was a beautiful celebration of love, gratitude, and family.

Following the Liturgy, everyone enjoyed a delicious Morning Tea and the opportunity to spend time together before playtime.

Thank you to our Year 2 students and teachers for leading such a meaningful celebration, and to all our guests for joining us. We wish all our fathers and special people a wonderful Father's Day this weekend! 🌟☕💙
